No, it's called mixing. They mixed in stuff like that, such as the sound effects in the midst of the song. The drums, guitar, bass, and vocals were just insanely thrown down and that's what was on the album
I'm not sure about that - by the name, I suspect a French origin. However, Troy definitely is Dutch in origin. Isn't it funny, though, that Dave Grohl ended up working with Troy van Leeuwen when one of the most famous early songs of the previous band Grohl drummed in, Love Buzz by Nirvana, was a cover of a song written by a guy called Robbie van Leeuwen... ironically, though, it's off the one Nirvana record Dave never played on!
