Josh Kerr Talks Rivalry With Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Goals For The 2024 Olympic Games 

The interesting thing is Kerr talks about Jakob very often and Jakob never talks about Kerr. I think Jakob has rented space in his competitors heads. Another thing is they never talk about Jakob's double gold in the 5,000 against the best Africans. I guess they think the 5k is an the JV sport!

Everybody will be gunning for Jakob this year again. Even made up rivalries are good for the sport.

I absolutely love this guy, so calm and humble and congrats his competitors. Humble in victory, gracious in defeat, massive respect to Josh Kerr, wish Jakob had that attitude, makes me glad Kerr beat Jakob at the 1500 2023 championship. You can be the best runner in history, but if you aren't respectful and kind towards your competitors and to the common people, respect goes down fast.

Kerr …Wrightman ….Ingebritgsen….Nuguse…..Nordas….Hobbs…….Hocker …Laros…Kipsang & Katir are all legit finalists in the Olympic 1500m & perhaps most you could argue could lay claim to the title….it will be very quick that’s for certain.

I like Josh and hope he has a great year, but beating JI just one time does not create a rivalry.😅

Starting to like Josh Kerr

Yeah, Josh beat Jakob in Budapest 1500m, but if Jakob was not 100% in the final (as he said) then maybe we should consider that when comparing Jakob and Josh. Anyway, I just wish to see them both healthy and in good shape next summer!

Both great athletes, both incredibly competitive and tough but for me Jacob just has that killer instinct which will result in him coming out on top in the end. Josh is a decent guy and really wish him well, love to be wrong.

Nothing is better than a guy who sets himself up to be humiliated like Josh is doing. When you win something for the first time and don't know if you can repeat it, you should be humble and gracious because in all likelihood, you will lose the next one. Since Josh built himself up so much, it will be humiliating when he realizes that it was a flash in a pan. If you're going to talk this much ****, you should at least be consistently winning first.

How is it a rivalry when Kerr has only beaten Ingrabritson once and has been ducking him ever since? It’s not a rivalry when it’s one sided bud. A rivalry would be actually racing him at any chance you get and proving that you are better. Instead, Kerr has been going around talking about Ingrabritson ever since. He is even planning on skipping the World Indoor Championship in a few months to duck Jakob even though the event is being held in his home country. I’m not even a huge fan of Jakob but I’ll be cheering for him or Neguse or Laros in Paris. Kerr has been a big talker for years but has come up short in most of those times. Good on him for his confidence though.

How is this a rivalry? in the 5000 Jakob sits at 4th all time and Kerr is 19th. If anything it just sounds like a guy annoyed by young talent. Not to mention Kerr has only beaten him ONCE. Not even worth mentioning. Can you please report a REEEEAAALLLL rivalry leading into Paris please. Give Shelly-Anne vs Elaine, Tebogo vs Knighton, or like Camacho Quinn vs Amusan....Josh and Jakob...is not a rivalry. stop.

Josh Kerr has a habitually big mouth & talks 99% more than he runs. Rivalry w Jakob? Very funny. Look @ his Pr's then look @ Jakob's ---whose PR's are all either all time WR's Olympic records,Diamond League records,European Records,Continental records on & on. It becomes bleedinly clear that other than 1 day he got it right---his record ,if studied closely shows an abysmal showing of 6th place to 12th place or worst---basically nowhere. Jakob has systematically been breaking every record possible @ every age from mid teens to current. It's utterly laughable to talk about someone whose BIG mouth makes more news than his actual accomplishments. All the true greats like Elgueroj, Gebersallasie, Bekele ,Ouita,Tergat, Morcelli, Rono,Komen on & on ... they all let their running do the talking, which is 100% opposite to BIG mouth Kerr. Your gonna spend alot of your time watching Jakob's back & heels as he continues showing how he's so far above you ,your not even in the same class. Wow you won once. Losing however is in your future, if only based on the BIG X you've painted on your back from all your trash talking. He doesn't dislike you---your not even on his radar--you're not worth considering as long as you mouth just never stops blathering.........
