I saw Josh open for Pearl Jam by himself and put on a great show and then fill in as the drummer for Pearl Jam due to theirs being sick. Josh fucking killed it
Those guitars are simply BEAUTIFUL. Haven’t heard much about Josh since he left RHCP, therefore I’m very pleased to see that he’s doing okay and moving on! Great job Josh, great job guys! Hope to check it out in person some day! Thank you
He released 2 record since then under the name Pluralone, he worked with Iggy Pop, Morrissey and did a record together with Eddie Vedder, toured with him as well as touring with Pearl Jam + he was the opening act for Pearl Jam in North America. Also he worked on music for a TV show with Jeff Ament. Just in case you wondered what he was doing the last 3 years 😂😊
Did he seriously come up with 6:55-8:50 on the spot? That was ridiculously beautiful. Holy smokes. I heard people talk about this guy before but his playing is off the charts. Insane flair/style. He reminds me of Omar Rodriguez as far as the "technical but completely driven by creativity" approach.
Give his band Dot Hacker a listen or his solo Records under the name Pluralone. It's amazing. Btw. Guitar isn't his first instrument, he was originally a drummer, he also plays piano and even saxophone.
I once heard John comparing his playing to Kurt’s, the explosiviness kinda reminds me of that, no rules, just feeling bursting out the hands, the sloppy playing its so cool and unpredictable ♥️ love josh, but no comparing he definetly got his own thing going
Josh is absolutely amazing musician, so much love to him and to this beautiful guitar. Sounds great! I wish one day I will get this guitar, my dream :)
John and Josh were stronger when they were together. They created some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard in my entire life, made me feel things I’ve never felt before.
And best decision for rhcp was stay with both Josh and John, shame that it didn't happen. I just can't listen their music anymore for that, it was unfair for Josh
@@bloodromance4776 there’s always two sides to every story and I won’t overlook their music but it has made me overlook some of their interviews and with that being said unlimited love (ironically named) and dream canteen weren’t very strong albums despite frusciante’s presence which I think has damaged his reputation as the “hit maker”.
The Getaway was better than the new Frusciante albums. That album was a real grower for me, maybe lacking energy towards the back half but still their strongest and most cohesive since By the Way imo
@@saulgoodman.exe_ I have to agree somewhat but maybe the frusciante albums will have a similar effect in time. I doubt we’ll be getting another album on the level of their 90s-2000s stuff.
I was watching the Livestream when JK first brought one of these out and played it on tour. Everyone loved the sound and you could see how inspiring it was for Josh to play. It is so great to know that it is one of your guitars, having seen the video with the double neck you made. Two great artists collaborating and we all get to enjoy the end result. Thank you
I'll probably never be able to even touch one of these guitars, but man… as long as people like Josh make amazing music with them, I'm fine with that, I guess.
Leaving the Peppers really freed up his guitar playing and sound. Frusciante's where he belongs too. Everything in its right place, I'd say. Will be checking out more Pluralone.
Wish I had $8,000 sitting around. Still though.... Josh is a fking beast. Will never get the respect he deserves from the John fanboys, but the dude is fking legit.
Fantastic guitars, it makes me wanting to grab the guitar, fire up my vintage amp in the front of the fire, with glass of wine an push some slide notes and dive into ambient tones..... btw beautiful picture on the wall when you are speaking 3:07-3:14. I have the same one on my wall in Ireland
Amazing guitars. Familiar yet fresh. I'm really hoping to see production line versions as I will never be able to get one with paramedic wages, otherwise. Best of luck to Carlos and his family. Keep up the good job!
I'm glad the rhcp is back with John. However I really liked your playing with them also. You are both great but I think you are on a different level than John. Not to say one of you is better than the other. You both are just as unique and awesome. Actually you are much harder to copy for my as a guitarist and fan. Much love Josh.
He understands sounds in a different way. How he incorporates chords, effects and more into songs is impressive. I strongly reccomend Dot Hacker and his most recent solo work "Pluralone".
Some interesting noises but his lead playing, articulation and bending really need some serious work. What the hell was that at 11:06? If you want to hear some serious baritone playing check out Marc Lettieri, he's the real deal IMO.
