My parents are good friends with josh, he’s preformed a lot in Ohio, always not cocky or mad at the fact that he didn’t win. He preformed at my uncle’s wedding and was as good here. He is truly one of the best people I’ve met and is a very humble man. He’s always open for conversation about any topic, and is always a great man. Krajick is one of my favorites and a great friend.
This is one of the most beautiful performances of ANY song EVER!!! I watched this entire season of x factor and when Josh didn't win I never watched another singing competition show ever. Melanie amaro was a great singer but there's hundreds of singers that sound like her. No one sounds like josh. Every song he performs he makes sound original and he puts every ounce of himself in them. He is absolutely amazing as an artist and singer!!!
I stopped watching the X factor after he lost and in my opinion was one of the biggest mistakes the show has ever done was not letting this man win this man deserves way more recognition than what he got
Even 11 years later, I play this almost weekly. I've listened to it everyday for weeks this past time lol it's just an amazing song with an amazing voice. I'm working on my own rendition now, I would love to collab one day with this man
All these years later, I still come back here. I remember this night, vividly. This is when you became one of my most loved singers. Everything you put into that song was unreal. Extremely well done 👍
Unfortunately the template to be a famous singer now is to be young, beautiful, trendy, and cool. Unfortunately, music nowadays lack passion, rawness and soul.
LA is just crazy ... this has been done so many times that it really takes a killer performance for my mouth to drop open anymore and Krajcik just blew me away again ... I'd forgotten how stunning this performance was.
I've must of heard over 90 different people sing this song from the original signer to even Bon Jovi and Josh Krajcik still signs it better then any one I'v heard period when he signs he gets under my skin for real it's something in him this is a great signer
+hille422 oh god what have I just read!? -_- more emotion than Buckley's version!? Are you drunk!? This is an incredible version but buckley's is (in my opinion) the best performance of any song of all time. The emotion, the composition, the transition from the original. He made the song sound like he wrote it. No-one can top his cover
the song was indeed not sang with excitement, it was MEANT to be slow and mellow, LA possibly wasn't in the mood for that type in that specific moment... still wrong to react like he did
He can sing ANYTHING and make it amazing, he can play the piano amazingly and then he can rock out on lead guitar ... Simon and his bunch need their careers ended for not making this man the mega star he deserves to be. 2017 and WE don't forget !
This is EASILY the best version of that song, ever, with a more soulful connection than ever displayed by anyone else singing this song or maybe any other! I guess there’s a reason we haven’t seen that first judge judging anything, ever again, after that RIDICULOUS review he gave that night! Obviously, he is not qualified to judge true talent. Thanks again, Josh, for sharing a special, unforgettable performance. I feel like I keep coming back to this year after year and sharing this video with others every so often who need to see that best version of “Hallelujah” whenever the song is brought up! ;)
I follow this awesome artist on FB and he has performed 2 mini concerts from his house the past 3 days and after seeing those mini concerts, I got Krajcik fever all over again. And yes, he should have won!!
Josh nailed this and At Last. K.d.Lang sings the most beautiful rendition of crying , the Roy Orbison song. And the other one she does well is The air That I Breathe, but for this song it's got to be Josh.
L.A. Reid said "That lacked excitement for me" ... I'm pretty sure that when Leonard Cohen composed this song, he wasn't thinking, ... "when people sing this song, they should show some excitement." This song, of all songs, was not intended to be a song to sing and "show excitement." I have seen this song performed by a lot of different artists, and so far, no one has performed it and made sure they were "showing some excitement." After L.A. Reid was no longer a judge, he stated 'X Factor' Is "The Worst Thing I've Ever Done." His comments on this song were one of the worse things he ever said. Thankfully, the other judges totally disagreed with L.A. Reid. Maybe that is part of the reason he thinks X-Factor was the worst thing he ever did. I for one am certainly glad he is no longer judging this type of competition.
Well said. Reid's comment was a total embarrassment. It's like he was wearing headphones and listening to Justin Bieber. That's the reason Paula almost fell off her chair. It's like listening to Jonathon and Charlotte and saying, "I'm sorry, Jonathon, but you were braying like an ass. Try to step it up for the next round." How this guy made money in the music business with an ear like that is beyond me.
I came here from the Pentatonix version and I thought to myself how awesome would it be if Josh sang this song and sure enough he has his own version. I AM SO FREAKIN HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!
This hallelujah right here 0:52 holds so much emotion for me. There is so much tenderness and loneliness put into that one word. And some idiot had to ruin it by screaming right after that beautiful tender note.
In the shadowed valley, I lift my song, Praises to the Father, to the Lord Jehovah, With faith in my heart, in a voice so strong, To You, Creator, my soul cries out. David raised his psalm in desperation, Surrounded by enemies, in anguish and pain, But found in You, a sincere refuge, In Your name, Jehovah, source of love. Hallelujah, a cry from the deepest being, In green pastures, in dark nights, For even in trials, I can see, Your light guiding, in such hard nights. Eternal protection, faithful shield, You deliver us from the sword, from ruthless hands, In Your embrace, Father, I find the honey, Of Your promises, so wonderful. Praised be, God of the Universe, Father of Jesus, in infinite grace, In each psalm, an immersed praise, In Your greatness, my soul finds its place. Hallelujah, to the King, Creator of the sky, Your deeds, Lord, shall be eternal, In Your love, my heart is bound, Forever I praise You, in adoration. Thus, David sang, thus I sing, In a chorus of faith, in honor and glory, Jehovah, supreme Father, in Your cloak, Rests my life, Your eternal story.
Dear Rhonda, Thank you this song and performance is so heartfelt!! Bless You sister, I can't to wait to meet you and Kina, you seem so neat. Love Lauren
In hindsight, Josh easily should have won over Melanie Amaro. I really liked her Beyonce "Listen" audition but that is about it. She got hyped because of that one audition. She didn't seem to know who she was yet as a person and artist and hasn't been able to achieve any success in the music scene. Josh is the real deal. He knows who he is as a person and an artist. He has the gift of playing instruments. He lives and breathes music.
What could have possess Simon to hire LA Reid for this show instead of Louis Walsh? Hell, even Britney would have been better than Reid. At least she knows a good performance when she sees it.
Well I've heard there was a secret chord That David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? Well it goes like this: The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Well your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya She tied you to her kitchen chair And she broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah But baby I've been here before I've seen this room and I've walked this floor You know, I used to live alone before I knew ya And I've seen your flag on the marble arch And love…
It is 100% the best version of this song. So much so I’ve talked about it and shared it for 10 years . Masterpiece. I don’t know how that first judge had anything negative to say about this. It’s absolutely incredible
Whoever wrote this song and used the lyrics maybe there's a God messed that up. I think Josh proved through his singing there is a God! He's angelic on earth
The thing that makes this song so special is it has to be sung with gentleness and strength and honesty, which is who Josh is as a performer and likely as a person. I don’t think this song has to be exciting, just those three things.
