@@jejbsh2191if you’re an Illinois fan, you have every right to hate watch lol. Josh is right that Illinois isn’t a playoff contender but they’re definitely a top 25 team.
It worked because that’s why I’m here. Saw the thumbnail and said “wait, Indiana doesn’t play Oregon this year, just Michigan and Ohio state”. Pate is playing 4-D chess to drive viewership with big ten folks
Haha. I did not even think about that but you where the top comment on the feed. I thought Oregon's was playing the Illini on Saturday. They wanted people commenting obviously, big brain move.
@@Urlastnerve No Saban, and it was a once in a generation win. TWO of those in 1 year? Start selling winter coats to those down below, it will get cold.
@@Urlastnerveit's a bit different though because bama probably sleepwalked into that game because it was just vandy but now vandy has people's attention. I think Texas is going to take them very seriously so an upset seems pretty unlikely to me
No, it just means that Texas was outcoached. Vandy is very well coached, they run clock, convert 3rd down, don't get caught behind the chains. Defense is not extraordinary, but they have sound gap assignment. Very well coached. The other thing is, they play very cerebral football. When a team is outmanned, you have to play smart, which this team does. I'm not suggesting an upset, but they are capable of staying in the game.
As an Illini, I had to shake my head with that Indiana logo there. I mean the illinois block I is way brighter and better for a thumbnail than indiana's logo.
If Vandy covers, or upsets, I'll accept how many SEC teams are ranked right now. If, however, they lose by three scores or more then we need to collectively as football fans readjust our perception of the SEC this year, and dump some of those top ranked teams. Vandy should immediately dip out, Mizzou should be dumped regardless of their result because I don't really care if they can or can't beat Alabama this year, there are already two teams riding the rankings because they beat Alabama, let's not make it three. Ole Miss is just riding SEC waves and people craping on Indiana's schedule but giving Ole Miss a pass when their best win is against 4-3 South Carolina. It's not like we know what these teams are compared to other conference. Vandy probably has the best win in Week 1 against VaTech. Besides beating each other here's what that side of the "top ranked" SEC has done. Wins against Alcon St, Ball St (by 10), Murray St, Buffalo, Massachusetts, Boston College (by 6), Furman, MTSU, Wake Forest, GA Southern, Old Dominion (by 4), Akron, and a loss to Georgia St. When you determine your strength of schedule based on rankings, which what else could you possibly do? Ultimate what determines a good win is who you think is the better team determined by some ranking. You can try and make it fully analytical, but eventually somewhere in there is a dash of "i think this team is good because they beat ranked team A." If Texas obliterates Vandy by covering I'm not listening to another person that tells me the SEC's bottom could beat anyone in any other conference.
LOL, waiting every week to see Indiana getting exposed per the "experts". I've seen college football royalty exposed every week and yet IU keeps rolling easily. Disprect their talent all you want, this is a better "team" than Miami or Alabama, easily.
Something about FSU vs Miami gives me a gut feeling we’ll see an upset. I know it makes little sense, but Miami has looked questionable. I may tune in after halftime…
Texas had played no one prior to Georgia. Weak-azz schedule. They will have at least 2 more losses on their schedule; Vandy is tricky smart and burn clock; Arkansas will fight you to the bitter end; Florida has a Top 10 roster, talent-wise, but have the toughest schedule; Kentucky players never give up on a play; and they close out against Texas A&M in College Station. Even the bottom teams in the SEC would be at minimum mid-tier in the Big 12. Texas is not used to the weekly grind of SEC football.
I really think Texas will get the win, but I agree they need to be in upset watch. Vanderbilt has not lucked into their wins but rather played and earned those wins. This ain't your everyday Vanderbilt team. I hope they win every game from here until the last week when they play my Tennessee Volunteers and then hopefully Tennessee beats them. Vandy is a legit team, not the greatest players individually but as a unit they are definitely deserving of that top 25 ranking
I’m in complete agreement. This year’s version of the Dores has been VERY different indeed ! At least y’all know not to sleepwalk into it like we did. Once we realized what was happening it was too late. Vols defense is a lot better than us though, so even if Nico’s not having a great day y’all should still be alright… RTR
ND gave up 200 rushing yards to NIU. Navy is 4th in the nation in rushing. Both of these teams are going to run all over each other. ND may win, but your idea of them holding Navy to 13 points is unrealistic at best.
@lucashawks2160 everyone is taking navy like we playing osu....they beat the mighty Memphis..no defense ...love and price and riley gonna run all over navy
I'm sure they were in the years when the service academy teams were some of the best year in and year out, but that was decades ago. Not sure how long it's been but I'm sure at some point they have all been ranked.
I'm not really a Big 10 fan, but the one thing that sticks out to me about Indiana when I watch them is how well coached they are. Their players are rarely out of position. They tackle well and look like a precision well-oiled machine.
There’s 0% chance Indiana loses to both Michigan and Michigan State. Please watch either of them play because it’s ugly. Washington is good but I’ll give Indiana the home team advantage.
HARRIS: Well, there was a lot that was done, but there's more to do, Anderson. And -- and I'm pointing out things that need to be done that haven't been done but need to be done. And I'm not going to shy away from saying, hey, these are still problems that we need to fix.
Navy wins outright. IU drops this one. Depth is going to be tested in this game... The IU QB is not able to go and IU just doesnt have to absorb that kind of a hit. Josh you have a point about the players around elevating their play but we aint talking about having to replace a lineman or a TE when your STARTING QB is hurt NONE of that is going to elevate the play of a lesser QB and it will cost IU this game. Illinois is going to get beat like a drum.
All im saying is Texas has a tough road left Vandy Florida Arkansas Kentucky A&M While not the top 5 of the SEC minus A&M, Texas can 100% lose all of these games.
Y'all big 10 fans are funny keep measuring yourself weekly to see if your big boys yet. Considering the the 25 year run the SEC just had I think you got a ways to go. 😆
@@Travis89-ob5tt I'll let our on field performance do the talking while the SEC fans let the suds (alcohol) do their talking. The SEC-ESPN connection has the same effect on the rankings as the Democrat Party-Media connection has on the news.
After the 4 top teams in the Big 10 the rest of the conference is no better than the Big 12. Indians hasn't even played a top 50 team yet. Penn State hasn't played a ranked team.
@@JayTide Please stop clutching your pearls. There was a time when Miami wasn't playing anyone but was crushing who they did play. They stayed at #1 for three years without playing a strong team in the regular season. Indiana is a top 10 team by any measure.
@@stevelenores5637 top 10 until they play a team that actually has a post. I doubt they'd be undefeated with a G5 schedule. They'd face tougher competition.
Why is every single game Notre Dame play an upset alert. Blind hatred Navy is only ranked because they’re undefeated. They have legitimately played no one Notre Dame plays against the triple option every year they’re going to destroy them.
He’s definitely been doing this since the NIU game, and then doesn’t even comment on the results afterwards. Stanford was “tricky” in his mind and yet it was not. ND has a lot of work to do to get better, but the NIU game is an outlier at this point. All be it, an embarrassing one.
Are you living in a parallel universe? Cam Ward is a heisman candidate, as long as he doesn’t make stupid decisions with the ball and is not too poise Miamis offense is gonna roll them over. Cam is gonna have 400+ yards passing 3+ throwing TDs
@@nathankindel9339 fair point, but I also feel like this ND team has played different after that loss. Everyone picked Louisville and GT to come away with the upset and ND dominated both those games. No disrespect to Navy but they’ve been beating up on shitty FCS teams. Their best win is over Memphis.
