Bo was very underestimated. He knew when to adjust, was very aware of what the defense might call, could adjust, run, etc. DG looks afraid. O Line is the issue. They look so bad. Penalties, no run protection and no aggression.

As a duck fan Josh, I’m just embarrassed by what I’ve watched the last two weeks. We duck fans finally felt like we had some hope after these last two seasons. But now…. I’m not really sure. Dan needs to make some adjustments on the offensive side of the ball to fix these issues. Play calling, offensive line, penalties and turn overs are massive issues right now that aren’t being fixed. Next week is the last game we could play like we did this weekend and get away with it. As a duck fan it just makes me sad more than anything. There is no doubt in my mind right now that we lost a special leader and play caller in Bo Nix. The offense doesn’t look the same without him.

Oregon needed two kick return TDs to edge Boise. Their offense has serious issues. Not sure how they're a two-touchdown favorite at an in-state rival this week.

Josh nailed it as usual. Defense playing pretty good. The 70 yard run looked like a busted play with a missed assignment. Still time to get it right. But they better start hitting their stride. 3rd quarter was a blueprint of how this team should play

I’m afraid a lot of people may have been fooled by some fancy videos and a giant inflatable duck.

Boise State's running game was the real deal. The stat about BSU outrushing Oregon by two to one is one of the more least concerning things to me as an Oregon fan.

BSU is a tough and solid football team and people underestimate them at their own peril. I would not have been surprised if they had won.

They insist on playing a walk on center with no experience and moving their starting center to guard. The center has a lot of responsibilities on protections and diagnosing the defensive front. This is where the trouble lies. If he is off the whole line is out of sorts. When they moved the starting center back to center they actually looked good. Offensive numbers are a bit skewed because they had two less drives due to the two return TDs. Their starting HB looked very good. The backup is lucky to get three yards.

First game I thought ok, fluke…Now I’m like WTF!!! 🤬 Come on Ducks…👊🏻🏈

Okay last week we dinked and dunked, sustained drive but couldn’t finish or get explosive plays. This week we could only score on big plays. Seems more like this thing will eventually come together then fall apart. It’s not pretty now but Oregon will be alright.

Is it possible that NIL paid players don’t play as hard as players that hope to get paid based on a future in the NFL?

As a Bama and Broncos fan, Bo Nix is that guy that can win you games, Oregon is fine, but Bo could keep poise even in both loses, you don’t start for a team in The League if you’re mediocre

Duck fans need to remember that the current squad is a work in progress. We sent three key guys to the NFL, two as starters. Bo, Bucky and JPJ (Center). Those positions will need to time to develop so we need to be patient about meeting the standard that all of those guys set. We may get beat in this process of improvement but those positions are hard and all kind of link back to the O line, which is young, fresh and learning. Be patient Duck fans, there's a ton of talent to be unleashed soon.

Boise is a true sleeper. Could easily see them having a good under the radar season.

The run game was actually decent, but many of them got called back because of holding, then you add the sacks and the final stat looks bad. Still not an excuse for poor play.

USC should be ahead of Oregon in the polls right now.

Oregon might've had a slow start, and I don't know who they are yet, but I'm still definitely not sleeping on October 12th..

As a Duck fan… I’m not hitting the panic button. We have 4 weeks . 3 games and 1 bye to get this thing to just gel more smoothly and I believe that’s all the time we need. I know the coaches aren’t satisfied and I believe the kids aren’t either and with that being said … confident they figure this thing on out. No later then coming out the bye next week going into conference play

Boise St and Idaho will probably win out their remaining schedules. Doesn't change that we didnt look great in those games but we have a very young O-line that is learning by the game. I think some run pass option plays for Gabriel could be very beneficial.

I can't believe that with Oregons vaunted recruiting , that one injury to a transfer from Indiana caused this mess! Its time to padlock the palatial facilities, trade the fancy uniforms , and find out who the REAL player's are on this team, fact is Oregon is soft, I thought Lanning could change the culture there, but maybe not.

I get it, something is definitely off about Oregon right now. But there has been absolutely ZERO credit to Boise State. They were 19.5 pt underdogs, doubled up Oregon in rushing and gave up two embarrassing special teams TDs to lose by a field goal in Autzen against a roster loaded with 5 star recruits. Boise lost that game and should be given at least a little credit for what they did in that game against a very talented team where no one was giving them a chance. Don't suck the rest of the season now please Oregon.

They will figure it out.

The people concerned about the Ducks are overreacting. Both of the teams the Ducks played have been very good. Idaho just beat Wyoming and Boise State is predicted to take the #12 spot in the CFP. Oregon players on the Ducks are still being evaluated for the starting spots in the offensive line. People forget what the Ducks looked like last season in week 2 against Texas Tech.

I think Oregon does that for one more week, they’ll be hanging on to the top 20 for their lives

If Oregon sticks with their offensive line lineup from the second half, they could find their stride. Looked so much better rushing and picking up blitzes with that change. The 2 fumbles really overshadows that.

A team full of transfers is going to be difficult getting them all sharp and ready to go. I still think the Idaho teams they played looked pretty good. See what they do against the beavs and ucla.

I think Bo was just incredibly good. Also, last year’s team barely beat Texas Tech. A comparable opponent to Boise. The team that play Tech was a completely different than the team that played for Pac-12 championship. They’re lucky they scheduled cupcakes tho.

How can you guys sit there and base a Boise state team that had a bad showing week one and use that to define how crappy there defense is when at the same time OR had a crap week one and yall said it was a fluke and they will look better? Boise fixed there mistakes obviously and if that’s the logic yall are gonna use then Georgia Southern is a way better team than OR because they put more points up on Boise. I dont know what happened to the offensive line. They may have to move on from a'lique terry once the year is over.

Stop boise defense has a lot of new pieces to figure out they sacked the oregon qb 4 times. If it wasn't for 2 kick returns on ST they would of won that game.

Gabriel is to short. You can see he is struggling to look over the line down the middle of the field. Yes the O line is not doing well but half the sacks are lack of pocket awareness from the QB. Gabriel just looks lost and tight. He better get it figured out or a 6'5" QB is sitting right behind him waiting to come in.

Boise State is a good team. Nothing but shade from every pundit. Their first game was bad team defense, they fixed it but no credit because “Oregon bad”.

Idk how to feel about this as an Ohio State fan because I still do not think they are bad but I am a little confused. Guess we will find out one way or another on the 12th.

This is a minor point but the rushing totals are a little misleading. Because of sacks we lost 15 yards to the total and most of chuck of DGs “carries” were actually sacks… overall I’m deeply concerned about my team at this point. That said, I’m hoping all we are seeing is something similar to the UW team from last year where they’d constantly play down and eke out wins against lesser opponents. I’d rather we’d just dominate for sure but if we are going to win this way, let it be and undefeated season and a chip at the end…

Ohio State might blow these guys out

BSU defensive captain (tuebner) being out most of the 2nd half with questionable targeting call, is being reported that has been overturned? (a little late), and is cleared to start the next game. Sounds like they had him out on special teams (when available).

Not sure how you expected a big time flip. The progress will be incremental. There are things being worked on that Oregon is working on, and they're not worried about flashy, Don't operate upon the template of the four-team playoff system. That's not what it going on. This is a tortoise-and-hare race and the tortoise will win.

Watching the Ducks try to run a couple of trick plays was liking watching bad pee wee football. They need to get that O line figured out and work as a unit. Individually, the talent is there for the Ducks.

Ok I'm a Coug and Duck! Idaho is not that team a few years ago, well coached and will complete. Boise State is trying to get back where they were several years ago when they beat top ranked power-5 schools. With that said, the Ducks are going to have redo there run defense scheme and generate more first downs to keep the ball away in the Big-Ten.

As a duck fan I like how things are going, and I’m not upset we only bottled up the best running back in the country the entire second half instead of one play. I’m not upset our O line looked WAY better at the end of the game, and I’m not upset they got business done under pressure. Other Oregon teams in the past rolled through small teams and got dominant wins only to play a good team and fall apart under pressure. This year is gonna grow the character of this team, and the number before their name doesn’t matter if they keep winning and get to the playoffs. These close games may not make fans happy now, but when they go up against other teams with tough schedules they won’t be outclassed by the pressure like before. Just a reminder! The pre season hasn’t gone away! We still have all the talent we need to be the best Oregon team that’s ever been, and right now we are having the season that will push them to the limit. No more getting drunk the night before easy wins, they will take this season seriously from the start. I trust Dan to get them ready for the big games, and they will be a tough team to beat in January. No holes, and humility. Go ducks!!

I love Josh, please don’t kick me out of Pate State………… but Idaho State is a rich a proud football tradition that barely lost to Oregon State. They would love a chance at mighty Oregon. LOL if I am Phil Knight I am getting ready to start cracking skulls. He gave his program a 15 year head start, just to wake up to USC regaining form the first year of a 12 team playoffs.

Okay, but if you don't look at this as a fan and look at this as baseline,... The step up in competition is actually quite perfect. Idaho is easily one of the best in the FCS. Boise can't ever be taken lightly, they're better than most P4 teams. You're not going to run well on them if they practice against a legitimate Heisman candidate. Boise won in the trenches on both sides of the ball hands down. BUT, special teams won the game. Special teams are invaluable. Gotta remember, Boise is a legit playoff contender. This was a serious improvement against a major jump in competition. If you think UCLA, Maryland, or Wisconsin are going to be a step up, it won't be. Boise and Idaho were playing with purpose because they genuinely know they have a shot to win a championship.

I think I once we get the oline situated and stop shuffling them around mid game. We’ll be fine, when Poncho was back to center we actually ran the ball well. I think going into the season I was confident of what we’d be. But now I’ll be happy if we just pull out one competent game. I’m not saying it’s all over for us. Playoffs could still happen. We just better be playing our best ball come conference play. Don’t take UCLA, and MSU lightly.

I hope that I’m not the only Duck fan who’s beyond disgusted with their endless in-house hype, self promotion and ridiculous uniform fashion shows. All it says to me is that they’re not serious about what happens on the field. They’ve turned the program into a joke. The Beavs are going to steal the rich kid’s lunch money next week.

Oregon has played Boise State four times. They've won once. Oregon should be very happy that they eked out their first-ever win over Boise State which was, despite a few catastrophic letdowns, the better team. The Ducks' record against the Broncos is now 1-3 So you Ducks fans should be dancing in the streets! You finally won one!

I respect the insight and your knowledge of the game but this episode is fairly annoying as a bsu fan. Absolutely zero credit given. The whole episode was acting like we are UMASS and this is pathetic for Oregon. Anyone who knows anything about BSU since danielson has been in charge knows we are close to being back to old form. Also comparing us to Idaho in the beginning was ridiculous I’ll be willing to bet money we are in the top 25 in a few weeks so when we look back is it really all that bad for Oregon?

Oregon has a bye after this game. These next two weeks are Oregon's last chance to figure out who they are and who they want to be before conference play. I believe in Dan Lanning and that my Ducks will make it happen.

Boise doesn't have a bad D. I would say it's average. Bad defensive backs but excellent D-line. That's why they stopped giving it to Gabriel at the end because they couldn't stop bsu from sacking him.

I really hope that Oregon doesn't fall into the competition model that is, essentially, playing to your competition, lesser or greater, and hoping that enough of the breaks go your way resulting in a win. If this is the case, it is a recipe for a 8-4 season, at best. Yes, Georgia is a very special program but the "competition model" that Georgia plays is much different. How do we know this? Georgia DOES NOT CARE who you are. They come to play and will beat you into submission and run up the score. I think that this is the "Standard" that Coach Lanning wants his players to adopt. It ain't happening yet. Far from it.

Last year pundits were gushing about Colorado after 3 cupcake wins. The first 2-3 games are meaningless as long as they are wins. The Ducks are going to right the ship. Boise State will be the FBS selection to the CFP. You can send me a chalice when those predictions come true.

Jeanty was cleaving ya’ll and if Boise had a decent QB they would’ve won that game, shit if there coach took the ball out on f there QB’s hands they wouldve won that game they can’t stop the rushing attack at all

If the o-line is the problem maybe it’s time to get some different staff to recruit and develop those types of players.

As a ducks fan this is embarrassing. O-line situation needs to get handled. Running game is at its all time low. DG has yet to prove he can maneuver in the pocket and deliver the ball down the field. In the 4th QT he missed to passes that would’ve had been gains. The defense is the backbone to this team but they can only hang on for so long until they get tired. I believe Dan will figure it out but really have to stay healthy

I don't like saying it but I definitely think Oregon was over-rated based entirely on talent recruited and transfers received. On paper they look unbeatable. On the field they look the opposite. What a conundrum for Dan Lanning.

If you look at average yard run and Jordan James yardage, our rushing was not THAT bad

I don't know why people are still talking about 10/12. Every game is a toss up at best. Ultimately this falls on Lanning. No discipline on the team. A very suspect OL coach. And Stein is not good unless Nix was fixing things for him.
