Where the Night Goes is some of the greatest lyrics ever written. Every man occasionally has dreams about girls from his youth. What's so magical about the song is that you don't know if he's actually met up with her again ("heard the word from Brenda Lee you were coming home") or if he's just imagining or dreaming what will happen.
He's the best lyricist I've ever heard, maybe tied with the guy from Neutral Milk Hotel, but he's definitely way up there in terms of lyrical excellence. I love you Josh, rock on, brother, rock on.
Cleveland can't wait to hear Josh share his new songs. If there's a better live performer trekking cross the land, please let me know. If ever we need to hear the beauty and grace of musical art, it is now.
I've met people like Josh before... and i see it in my own nuances... sometimes when I'm in conversation mode, I stutter over my slow thoughts... but on the other hand, when in flow mode, there is no pause or hesitation... Also, I've met folks that couldn't walk across a flat floor without running into every fixed object, but then you get them out on the trail, they'll hop from boulder to boulder where if they fell, it would be a 1000 foot drop that no one would walk away from
Loved the music, found it somewhat amusing that the interviewer basically spent the whole time having Josh reconfirm things he's already said and done. Research gone too far! There were a few times were he looked like he was just like "uh, yup, I said that, I don't know how to add something to that." Yet, he managed to be as incredibly gracious as he could. Well done.
