it was a vw type 1 aircooled engine. 1641cc, it had a cam with specs right around a w100 "cheater" cam. dual 40 IDF carbs, and a tepee exhaust. it probably made right around 100hp, but considering that whole vehicle weighed in at about 700 pounds, it was pretty quick.
MonkeyWithAWrench that’s cool sounds like v6s or v8 I’m not sure sounds too similar my cousin used have one for 2 or 3 yrs till he took one Friday morning to test it out at the small dunes and hills everywhere and he floor it up the hill and the oil and engine.. exploded and he dropped back down two guys help my cos get it back on trailer to go home☹️ that’s when I was in Florida having vaca time
