It should have been a draw, and that would have been a fair result. I have watched the fight hundreds of times, and it's nowhere near a robbery.
Taylor seems to have a chip on his shoulder because the public turned on him. What he fails to realise is they didn’t turn on him because Catterall beat him, they turned on him because of the way he carried himself after the fight.

I'm with Simon. I thoughts Josh Taylor was a pound 4 pound great fighter. One of my favorite fighters, but Jack Catterall wiped the floor with him. It was a one sided fight, with an awful decision.

All well and good saying "I've been mandated by the WBO" - the Catterall fight was already over a year ago, it should never have taken this long in the first place to arrange a rematch.

Everyone kept saying he got a gift decision and i never knew bc i didn't follow either.. I just watched that fight and scored it in a unbias way bc idc about either them tbh.. But all Cattrall really did was hold excessively all night long! He had a few good rounds and landed early on in the fight, but at the end i had it 115-112 Taylor 🤷🏻♂️ So it's funny how public perception can lead u astray of the reality of the fight.. Taylor won IMHO but it was a crappy fight bc of all the holding!! I very much view constant clinching/holding as a negative against whoever is mostly causing it 🤷🏻♂️ Was not a robbery that's for sure..
The Lopez fight was already in the works before the WBO "ordered" it. Bob Arum gave them a nudge because it's two Top Rank fighters and he wins either way

After listening to Simon Jordan on Talksport I find it almost impossible to take any other pundits view seriously. There's levels in the media and he's in a class of his own. Reminds me a bit of when Jeremy Paxman did Newsnight, they are the best in their respective businesses.

Am a massive Taylor fan and ave followed his whole career from the commonwealth games to his last fight. He should not have got the win Jack should have. But if all the people here who are criticising him à suggest you go and watch josh documentary tht is based on to the build of the catteral fight. He had covid he was overweight he had a lot of personal problems as well. His weight cut was terrible and he underestimated Jack. If josh was at his best tht night à firmly believe he would have beat Jack. A also believe tht most of the hate he’s getting is because he’s Scottish and he was the first Brit to be à undisputed Champ in the 4 belt era. And the fight is not the worst robbery in boxing eny true boxing fan would know there is a lot more worst decision thn tht one. (Ie)si hun v Roy jones jr. Holyfield v Lewis. A fighter like Josh can’t admit to losing the fight - he’s a fighter, a real fighting guy/boxer Jack did win the fight he would have come off better saying he was fortunate to get the win but the decision is down to judges not him If he admits defeat it’s a sign of weakness

Taylor has always been the bully and doesn't like it back but what else do you want the guy to say, he signed the contract to fight Catterall, he hasn't swerved any fighter previously, so there is no reason to think he will swerve Catterall. we could also say Catterall swerved Ramirez and put himself out of the ring for a long time but that would be a ridiculous thing to say, Taylor was beaten by Catterall but it was clear to see Taylor had a problem making weight that affected him and he couldn't step on the gas and overwhelm Jack, who knows who will win the rematch but i think we know Taylor will be better, the question is can Jack get better because he will have to be to beat Taylor this time especially if it is at 147
Josh lost straight and simple everybody all over the world said the same , cheating puts people of the sport. Catterall won easy by a bloody Mile . A rematch should of been ordered immediately and classed has a no contest.

Some boxers aren't the brightest ppl, we all saw what went on, we all saw the arrogant way he carried himself, and still he didn't give no guarantee. Its not about jack, I've got this and that to concentrate on, but if he was honest this is what gets him bk on track until then it's a loss in the eyes of the majority. It’s not hard to maintain weight if you are fighting at your natural weight 🤔 the trouble is these guys are boiling down to make the weight , then coming into the ring at their natural weight ,, this wasn’t done when they weighed in on the day ,, those that did suffered serious injury , so they allowed it to be moved two days before ? For health reasons 🤔remember this was in the days when a division difference was a stone !! Not 7 lbs 🤔😂 now people who are naturally two weights above (stone) are boiling down with the knowledge they have two full days to put the weight back on !! Back in the day you had natural 10 st fighters against boiled down natural 11st fighters, not a fully weighted natural 11st fighter !! Today it’s a massive advantage, they should be weighed in on the day of the fight not before .
He keeps saying Teo is a harder fight I don't see Teo as a harder fight at all Kambosos absolutely battered him and he's not even a puncher, Catterall would beat Kambosos. Then when Teo moved up in weight he got whooped by Sandor Martin and Martin was robbed bad, in my opinion Catterall beats Sandor Martin comfortable. Teo was finished after the Kambosos fight doesn't have the fight in him anymore

Give him a break, he tried to fight caterall for godsake and had a career ending injury hes just fortunate hes young enough to hopefully come back. If he beats teo then beats jack in the rematch the fickle fans who called him useless and a bum etc will ssoon change their tune
