Why I listen your music with pleasure and respect?! Because You are special in my heart. Thank You. Respect wonderful Singer and Man and Huseband and Father ❤
I don't think the 2 versions (Merle & Josh) should be compared. Merle did his. Josh does his. They are both great in my opinion. Actually, I think Merle would be proud of this. God bless Josh Turner for keeping real country music alive.
I love listening to Josh singing. There's something about his voice that gives me a dreamy mood. I wish he'd sing Help me make it through the night, and,, I love you because. Josh, if you read my comment, then please record those two songs. You'll make us go crazy. 🎉❤
I spent 27 years in the Navy. My wife still breaks into tears every time she hears this song. Seems it came on the radio almost every time I left home to deploy or fly out for an assignment.
Josh has a great voice and style for authentic sounding country music that has not been distorted and "modernized" to sell more recordings. I wish him well and hope that he continues to sing, especially redoing classical country songs or others appropriate to his voice and style. I will be listening for them.
So great to be able to hear an all time favourite song, a song that's given so much pleasure in its original format (Merle was the best!) sung by such an awesome new voice. Josh Turner is keeping Country Music 'real'!
Wow love what I am getting to listen to! Lovely day outside and lovely music from Josh! I have loved his voice for about three years now! I will always be a fan! I love singing with you I know nearly everyone of your songs! 💖🥰🙏❤️🫶🏻😉🌹🌹🤗💕
Has to be one of my very favourites … just love the feeling Josh puts int in T his song… makes me tear up every time I play it!! Ty Josh for sharing this with us v all!! 💕💋💕💋💕💋💕💋💕❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful tribute by Josh to Merle! Love love it! I listened to the older country with my dad when i was a little girl, Merle was one of my favorites. Josh does this song justice, I think Merle would be proud!
Though no one can top Merle Haggard with this song, I love this Josh Turner rendition. Everyone has his own style in artistic way wherein they believe the song will be beautifully rendered and be love by country music lovers.
Josh is the best there is today and surpasses most of yesterday. One of the best voices ever. And I grew up on Elvis, Josh wins hands down. Let Josh be Josh, he had good guys ahead of him but this is his turn and he deserves credit for his talent.
As my husband left for Basic training, then to Viet Nam, this song was popular, he flew out of my vision, he made it back, never to be the same again! This song is about heartbreak for me!
I was just a kid when your husband took that ride on silver wings. For what it's worth, I thank the Lord for people like him who went to serve when called. He shouldn't have had to go but he did. I wish you both peace and love.
It's a shame that country music isn't like the good old days..Thank goodness we have a great guy like Josh Turner sing8ng one of haggard song.!! GREAT JOB..Geez last night I watched CMA between the way the stars are dressing now and never heard a real country music song...
I was 16, a newlywed, sending my husband off to the Army, was drafted! He was in Vietnam! Came home a different person! I still loved him, we made it for a few years! Never the same! Saw his plane leaving, my heart has been broken so many times!
my husband and I used to dance to this at our local bar and grill. brings back so many memories. lost my husband of 54 years almost 5 years ago. still like to dance, and listen to country music.
I do not remember who sang this back in 1970, but this song made me cry when I had to send my husband of 2 weeks away on a plane to Basic Training, the on to Vietnam! I was 16, newly married! Broke my heart! Still love this song!
I love Josh , I love Merle ,too. They are not competing with each other. I listen to this and I listen to Merle as well. They are to me like two different delicious foods which I want both.
I love Josh Turner. My daughter. Paula and I have seen him three times in concert here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is the ultimate entertainer extraordinaire. His show is worth every dollar you pay. We are going to go and see him again in March 26th when he comes again to Albuquerque, right after my 69th birthday. Now that's quite a birthday present. I can hardly wait to hear him sing.
