I can't find any either. It's so frustrating, I've needed a new motor for several months with no way so far to save my otherwise completely usable E-bike for about $300 for the old motor. I'll never be able to afford $1,300+ for a new Ebike so I've been stuck at home since. Finding another motor this size has been like finding a needle in a haystack. The one I found was no less expensive, but was expected to take 3 months to ship. Not wanting to commit and keep looking the money got spent on expensive rides into town and an unexpected doctor bill. I've eaten nothing but canned beans to keep up and I'm almost ready to start looking for another motor again. What are you looking for, I'll give you any information I can find.
What model is this? I just purchased the same, it's the 48v Cabo cruiser elite, model number xb-505. This replaced the older Xtreme xb-504. My digital dash is much different then yours.

Mine honks the horn too. No starter needed :) No you can't change it to MPH. It's stuck on KPH :( Something else I noticed, below the floor mat there's a spot for a throttle pedal to be installed. I'll stick to the twist grip.
I don't know about California. You'll have to look up the local laws. Most likely not. A motorcycle licence should not be needed because it's low powered similar to a 49cc moped that usually doesn't need anything more than a Driver's Licence. You might get lucky not needing anything but a helmet like here in Florida.
Your good in CA. You will get pulled over quite a bit, have the law printed out with you as many cops dont get it as it def doesn't look like a e bike!
Unfortunately the current production doesn't have the hazard flashers or the trip counter anymore. The wiring is identical it's the thumb switch that's different. I had to use the switch off of my older Cabo Cruiser. I think it drops the voltage to twelve volts like it does for the blue LED's but I might as well double check. If so then a motorcycle switch might work.
It is 12v on the horn all the lights except the headlight. Inside the dashboard there is an external box that I believe does the "blinker" switching with two wires connecting to the thumb switch on both bikes. I'd assume normal motorcycles are set up the same. I'm about to buy a new model that's an upgrade. I've got some videos changing the batteries and figuring out the wiring harnesses. I'm going to make some more videos about rebuilding the Cabo Cruiser and showing off my new upgrade!
$1200 + $50-$100 S+H. They are back ordered until April because of the corona virus. I just bought another one yesterday but I have to wait for my number on the waiting list. I've tried all retailers and even all other brands of legal bikes and NOTHING is available this month from China!
24 MPH and it can get 24 miles if you're easy on the throttle. Perfect timing. I've just recently figured and confirmed these numbers. If you full throttle it the whole way with some stop and go you get 21 miles per charge. I've squeezed 27+ before by super conservative operation from the start.
Under the seat is fine. I've been up and down my dirt road for years and no damage has happened. Overheating under the seat while charging could happen. I've damaged a couple chargers dropping them. It's usually the cooling fan blades that break. The bike and charger are actually rather tough.
There is no pedal assist. The pedals barely move it, they are just there to make it street legal without a tag or license by federal law. It is certified as an Electrically Assisted Bicycle because of them. You do need wear a (bicycle) helmet and limit your top speed to 20 MPH (32 KPH on the dash*) without a license or tag. The E-bike's top speed is 25 MPH (38 KPH*). A flashing light on the rear may be required at night in your area. Also, they may have a local ordinance banning EAB's, but so far it seems rare. The actual range is at least, but not much more than 20 miles at 25 MPH or 25 miles at 20 MPH if you are not stopping often. I upgraded my batteries for about $200 to a gel or glass mat set as I was wearing the original set out, so keep that in mind. I get about 10% more range and the power drop off during long range discharge is delayed quite a bit (improvement). You should get a year or two of heavy use out of the original batteries if you take good care of them. Also the tires will need occasional replacement and cost $25 - $75 each. The back tire wears out a lot quicker than the front. You should inflate the tires to 42 PSI front- 44 PSI rear (46 PSI max.) for the best range versus ride balance. A replacement set of original lead acid batteries cost about $300 and you should get about 350 charge cycles. I don't know how many charge cycles I'll get out of the new upgraded batteries yet. These things are nearly indestructible, extremely reliable, and practically last forever if well maintained. You can push them to their limits and it can be quite a bit of fun. I live on a dirt road and drive it like a momentum mini bike all over the place all the time! 🥰
