"He was really loved as a person. It really touched me & it still does." Josiane is an artist & daughter of #Isles Legend, Mike Bossy. In honor of her dad, she wanted to create something that #Isles fans could have to remember #22.
Ranger fan in the 70’s and 80’s and every year the islanders were victorious. But your dad I always admired and rooted for. A beast on the ice and such a professional athlete. Heaven got a great player for the team up there.
My father who was born in 1966 was growing up in Long Beach NY as the Islanders were going through the struggles that come with being an expansion team. He was a teenager when they had their 1980’s dynasty and when he played deck hockey at school he wore #22. Bossy was his favorite player at that time.
God bless your endeavor. I only got to meet him once, getting his autograph. I told him that to me he is the greatest goal scorer of all time. He smiled and said thank you. May your father be lauded and remembered for all time. God bless you.
I bumped into Mike twice at the TD Bank in Laval. I joked with him about our highschool "LCHS" we both went to in different years and also me being a Bossé and how the many times teachers would ask me if I was related to him. I would of obviously been honored to be but I was just a huge admirer. RIP
573 goals and 553 assists in only 752 games. His stat lines are absolutely ridiculous. His back problems ended his career when he was only 30 years old. He would’ve had 1,000 goals and 1,000 assists if his career didn’t end prematurely.
I have all Red wings in my Sport room. But I have an Autograph Magazine with # 22 The Great MR Mike Bossy in a frame next to Stevie Y ….. I studied Mike bossy wrist shot through the yrs helped me Tremendously in the early 80,s I double my scoring… truly the greatest sniper to ever lace them up…
