One of my favorite all time hits. 1977' I was 16 and playing guitar. (Self taught) and could not figure it out.. Has some of it down, but knew I was missing notes and unable to find others.. hahaha.. Years later I was in a band and we tried this. I was playing Bass then and I wasn't very good. 2 of us said: lets wait on this one!! You played it great!!!!!!!

Hello, Carmela. I don't usually comment on RU-vid videos, but I simply have to on this one. I was wanting to hear this song and stumbled upon your bass cover here. Being a fan of great bass lines, I knew I'd be able to better hear it in a bass cover recording, providing the bassist covering the song is competent. Carmela, you far more than competent. Steely Dan songs are never simple and it takes talent to cover any part of such a piece as Josie. Not only did you play it to perfection, but you showed yourself clearly to be enjoying the hell out of it. Until now, I've never heard of you, but after listening through, I'm an instant fan. Excuse me while I play this video again for the fifth time. Rock on.
