Just watched a video. What a player! I remember watching one game when he was playing for one team from Lubiana. I said to myself:that surely is not Slovenian, bcs Slovenian players hasn't that kind of football skills. Next season I was looking for some news how he develops, but he was seated to the bench for most of the season. Amazingly and surprisingly for most, best organized club Maribor invited him to their team. Ilicic said if he would had gotten a call, he would most probably quit playing football and start playing futsal. He was seriously thinking about that. After not playing whole season, he began as a starter for Maribor and Europa league against Palermo happened and after the game he signed for them... That is why may be, why he is so humble and doesn't think he is capable of playing for big teams. Even at his age, with this talent he can still show a lot. I was hugely disappointed last year that he was unable to play against PSG. It was his year and till Corona issue he was in conversation amongst three best players in the world before the pandemic.
