you MUST listen to the original. this is a good cover, but i'm so obsessed with the original that i don't think that anything can ever beat it. she does do an excellent job though. :)
This song from Joss Stone never dies and I think that the music markets SHOULD revive it. Ed Sheeran's music is so lame that it causes too many brain lesions for me to sit through 24 hours a day. I'm also going to sing this song from Joss Stone for Round 2⃣of Cafe Quarantine Karaoke in June 2023. 🎉
The car you are or someone else is driving is a 1962-1980 MGB. The car features a 1798cc inline 4 cylinder engine and the max bhp is 94 bhp at 5400 rpm (revs per minute). They had 3 models: MGB, MGB Tourer and the MGB GT which is the one you or someone else is driving. 4 speed transmission with overdrive. The top speed of the car is 106 mph (171 km/h). It is made out of steel and the suspension is independent coil at the front and half elliptic leaf springs at the rear. The brakes are Lockheed front discs and rear drums (the MGA Twin Cam and De Luxe have all 4 discs) the standard only had all 4 drums (MGA). If you were driving I hope you enjoyed being behind the wheel of that fine automobile.

She has also driven a 1972 Volkswagen 1302 Super Beetle. That car had a 1600 cc air cooled flat 4 engine producing 50 brake horse power (53 US HP) at 3,500 rpm. The brakes were hydraulic discs (front) and drums (rear). The transmission is fully synchromesh 4 speed manual with 3 speed auto and 4 speed auto-shift transmission. They were replaced by the 1303 which had a wrap round screen and different interior (the 1979 Karman had wooden interior and a Speedo with MPH & KM/H along with a fuel injected engine). That car (The Volkswagen Beetle) was used in the “Don’t cha wanna ride” music video.
Sorry, sir... No can do. You may think that LP1 is a bad album, but it must be recognized as the first independent of her carreer. After all she went through to get rid of EMI's control and interferance, it's even outraging ignore the album. Besides that, LP1 has amazing songs such as Last One to Know, Karma, Drive All Night and Boat Yard.
Also why is an established artist with original songs make a small indie bands song from their only cd the main song for the album? I guess that's the better criticism. Joss is a good singer but I hope she remembers to give Broken Bell the due credit when she plays it,
I just don't think it's fair for an established soul singer to cover a song from a small lesser known indie band who I believe has only produced 1 album. Now the established singer gets all the credit for it instead of Broken Bell. Now people hear it, and mainly the soul community, will hear it and many, again targeted at the soul community, will think it's a great original song and have no idea Broken Bell did it and James Mercer and Danger Mouse don't get due credit for it's success.
