Seriously? That was an ignorant comment. She's always sounded like this. She has a very soulful voice. It's called talent, not "trying to sound black." She sings with the voice God gave her.

I think part of why she isn't as famous as Adele and Amy is that the two of them are known for their song writing as well as their singing. Joss is known mostly as a singer alone... albeit a great one.
maybe because she doesn't want to be so famous (--> commercial...!!!) for her it's all about fun and music, not about the money... so, who cares how famous she is... seems to be enough to make brilliant music - for herself and for all people who appreciate.... :)
It's really sad that Joss is so underrated. People these days don't know what real talent is anymore, all they care about is garbage mainstream "artists" who can't sing a note.
she is/was as famous as those 2 , she has been around for about 7-8yrs now. She left her label because she did not like the way they were handling things.

Well this is all I can say Jan Folke Rorvik to your comments. It takes a Ignorant person to know a Ignorant person and if you think she is. Than you must think everyone is Ignorant in life. You must never listen to music at all and don't try and why are you trying to listen to black music anyway. you can't understand that either. plus she never claimed to have written this song........the point of doing a cover is to respect the original artist............but at the same time...make it to where it fits you........stop trying to disparage my favorite singer please.
and your concept of originality is a bit overblown.....apparently that is her style of singing...... but this was a cover album...and i know this version pales in comparison to original...but come on........stop hating the british for their style of singing.
