Watching this in 2022 it's so evident how more relaxed and confident your presenting style has become. I'm stuck on the final boss in Jotun right now and spotted this while looking for tips to defeat him. Love yer channel hence why I was curious what your review was like.
I bought this today only for €5 in nintendo eshop. I will play it today in the afternoon and I will say here my opinion. It looks beautifull and I like this art and indie titles in generally!

Great review as always guys, finally got 5 minutes to type this thing, so, without delay... Personally, I didn't know if I should get this, this is literally the second thing I searched about the game, besides some screenshots, so i can't say much besides analyse once again what you already said. I guess I'll have to try it, but I can at least say a couple of things that concern me and don't concern me: Story: I'm a sucker for mythology, fights between heaven and hell, the infinite fights between the gods and their ever loyal servants, as well as demi-gods, so I definetely won't get bored, plus, those scenes with German voice acting... Man, it's a delight I didn't experience in such a long time, and the first time from an indie developer. I can already tell I'm gonna love it and enjoy it to it's fullest, like the best moments of God of war, but for the lenght of an entire game instead of 10 to 15 minutes. Gameplay: This is the area with that is the most flawed by a long shot, and while it's not a deal-breaker, it does feel wrong at certain points, for example, you talked about the animation which is indeed mostly adequate to each situation, especially on boss fights, it does seem a Little lazy on the generic viking enemies and certain other foes like at this point (3:48), again, not a big deal, didn't expect an individual scene and 20 combinations of attacks with unique animations, but a Little less than I thought, perhaps this is just me. The combat doesn't impress me, but when it gets down and dirty with the hordes and boss fights it's something different, satisfying when the character succesfully swings about 6 or 7 enemies at once, even though it does seem frustrating at times, like the first time I tried dark souls or castlevania 2 on the NES, as if Thora is always a Little bit slower than everyone at attacking. The movement set looks almost symbolic, limited attacks and combos against these giant challenges you have to overcome, beautiful when you think about it, but not living up to the potential it has on the players hands, still playable and not at all bad, but yeah, like you said, slow, very slow in my personal opinion. Luckily enough, the powers seem to compensate a Little. Music, sound and HD rumble: Sorry, nothing else to say, hands-down another proof that cartoons can be just as gorgeus as any painting if theyput their soul into it, splendid sounds and a shame there wasn't HD rumble, since it can be applied to a million things, as demonstrated by the"tech demo" 1-2-switch, dragon quest or Celeste. I'm starting to value more the HD rumble, but still not essencial. Personal score (expected): 8.6/10 (the story and boss designs are what will drive me forward, but the visuals I'll get to enjoy will make this odyssey all the better) Personal "kinda absolute" score (also expected): 8/10 (I can't be sure if this is for everyone, but it's definetely worth a shot, perhaps a game that will develope a loyal fanbase since it's so unique) My scores are on the low side for me since I'm kinda biased becauseof the thematic, but remember, I haven't even touched the thing, don't take me too seriously, so that will be it for now. I realize this is a year old, but how are you going to give a game a grade before you even play it? That makes zero sense. Rating your excitement level is understandable, but that's not what that was.
