I love everything you sing. You are amazing. You should be on the radio. This is my favorite song it gets deep in my soul everytime I hear it. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen in existence and I'm not just saying that. I love video mashups of a singer performing the same song and it's edited together. This is flawless. I could watch it on repeat 💙🔥 ❤️🔥💨💨💨
I loved your passion. I subscribed. Ignore the haters. This is Social Media. There are plenty of ignorant people out there. As a black person, I felt you. I know the story of Harriet. You did a great job! Continue to create good music. I wish you all the best. You would be the age of my great, great, great grandson😊 Be strong, don't let negativity get to your soul. ❤ To sing with passion you always have to know the story behind the song. Good luck😊
OK, that is pushing it.😊 Did you watch the movie Harriet ? Do you know what the words mean to Harriet? Then you would not say that. I love his rendition, but this is history.
OverviewLyricsVideosListenArtists I been walkin' With my face turned to the sun Weight on my shoulders A bullet in my gun Oh, I got eyes in the back of my head Just in case I have to run I do what I can when I can while I can for my people While the clouds roll back and the stars fill the night That's when I'm gonna stand up Take my people with me Together we are going To a brand new home Far across the river Can you hear freedom calling? Calling me to answer Gonna keep on keepin' on I can feel it in my bones Early in the mornin' Before the sun begins to shine We're gonna start movin' Towards that separating line I'm wadin' through muddy waters You know I got a made up mind And I don't mind if I lose any blood on the way to salvation And I'll fight with the strength that I got until I die So I'm gonna stand up Take my people with me Together we are going To a brand new home Far across the river Can you hear freedom calling? Calling me to answer Gonna keep on keepin' on And I know what's around the bend Might be hard to face 'cause I'm alone And I just might fail But Lord knows I tried Sure as stars fill up the sky Stand up Take my people with me Together we are going To a brand new home Far across the river Can you hear freedom calling? Calling me to answer Gonna keep on keepin' on I'm gonna stand up Take my people with me Together we are going To a brand new home Far across the river Do you hear freedom calling? Calling me to answer Gonna keep on keepin' on I'm gonna stand up Take my people with me Together we are going To a brand new home Far across the river I hear freedom calling Calling me to answer Gonna keep on keepin' on I can feel it in my bones I go to prepare a place for you I go to prepare a place for you I go to prepare a place for you I go to prepare a place for you
Yes, you are being bias😊 He sang it with feelings. Give the guy his props. I have downloaded about five different versions of this song. It means a lot to me. When I listen to it, I must feel it. He is very good. He is special ❤
a beautiful cover! bravo!👏👏👏👏 I actually had to leave the room after I started the video. so I restarted it when I returned to my computer because I just loved your vocals.🙋🏾♀and I think Cynthia Erivo would really love this cover of her song! 🎶🎼🎶🎼 also, anyone who hasn't yet seen the movie, "Harriet," [who this is about] really should see the film..which Cynthia stars in and she also sings this same main theme song. this is probably my favorite video of her doing this: "Stand Up" - Official Lyric Video - Performed by Cynthia Erivo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sn19xvfoXvk.htmlsi=RKse4cZN701D3n3x the storytelling is based on the real life experiences of an escaped slave, Ms. Harriet Tubman [born into slavery as Araminta Ross]..who risked her freedom, as well as her life many times over, to go back across USA state lines to rescue *at least* 70 other slaves. it was illegal to teach owned human beings to read and write [which is interesting because racists always said slaves were too unintelligent and could never learn how🙄] so because she never had an opportunity she wasn't able to use those skills to do what she did. instead she relied on her belief in god and she was known to have extremely accurate intuitive abilities. as she somehow always knew how to avoid the many forms of danger, including human slave trackers, that could have thwarted her efforts. and she ran at least 13 or 14 missions, to bring other slaves to freedom with the help of the Underground Railroad network which was supported by other abolitionists. Ms. Tubman was also a spy and scout [armed🔫] during the USA's civil war. she was one of the bravest human beings to ever walk this earth and her story is definitely worth knowing about.👍
@@krzyblonde1444 well it dont surprise me why the pain of Black ppl and their ancestors is entertaining to you. I mean a soulless individual like yourself wouldn’t..I’m sorry..u don’t understand the meaning nor the message. My great mother was still slaving when I was young so and it’s in my blood to sing with passion but it’s America so continue on stepping on others with your racism
How dare you. Music is for everyone. It's a bridge between different peoples and cultures. It allows others a glimpse into the soul of whichever culture the song is from.
Wow, a real hater, and a racist. That is why racism still exists. Black people like you are promoting it. Some black people are racists. A fine example. Yes, I am black. The song means a lot to me. I also love to listen to good quality music. I have listened and downloaded many versions of this song. I downloaded his version. It touched me. I listened without judging. He put his heart and soul into it. Do you know his background? NO, you do not. IT IS NOT IMPORTANT!
