Thank you so much for posting this! I got so many amazing ideas. Sometimes it gets really busy with kids and work and as much as I want to keep a planner it’s daunting to come up with ideas and this super easy spread that’s super cute is perfect.
Loved the spreads that you made. It's nice to see that easy spreads can be made. I used to journal, but I could never come up with spreads. Could you show a setup of a simple monthly spread? I feel like those were the ones that discouraged me from journaling. Never knew how to make them interesting. Are they truly needed? I feel like i would really only need the weekly spread. I also liked that your weekly spreads were used to write down memories. I had never thought of doing that. Thanks for the inspo!❤
you don't need them (there is no wrong way to journal) - and mine are very simple. i did a monthly spread for dinosaurs but the video got a bit long. i'll do one for the next video.
This was very inspiring for me. I find that my biggest struggle with journaling is trying to come up with different spreads. Using the same spread over and over again gets old for me after a while. I can not wait to give this spread a try for myself. You have such a beautiful family, both your boys are absolutely precious. Thank you for taking the time to do this, I really enjoyed watching and look forward to the next one.
Funny enough I find inspiration on RU-vid too! I also find that if I’m ok making mistakes, that it helps me be more creative and willing to just trust that I’ll be happy with whatever I make. Thanks so much for the kind words and I’ll see you in the next video!

This is really great to see because if I don’t have “structure” then the unlimited choices to do just paralyze me.. but I like the memory planning.. I always seem to feel bad I didn’t fill anything out and have empty days.. Also.. what are your markers/pens!!?

i mess up a LOT and take my time (the video is sped up and lipped a lot), and i also have something planing in the background too haha. thanks for letting mw know, i had a feeling that many people play this while journaling or relaxing.

I have to start out by saying that your sons are adorable! I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only who was smiling whenever they were featured in your video! I really enjoyed the combination format that you did for this. Seeing vlog sections mixed in with your actual journaling details was fun. It was very helpful to be able to watch how you put together your layouts. I even found it interesting to watch how you draw the boxes in relation to the doodles and stickers - for example: at 14:08 when you were drawing the boxes for Sat and Sun, you drew portions of those boxes based on the label stickers and the decorative stickers that you had already placed. It was just a nice way to see a different approach to setting up the layout. I tend to think that I should make the boxes first and then decorate. Sorry for the long chatter on this, but I just wanted to let you know that even the little things that you might not think twice about can be really helpful and inspiring for people like me! Thank you for posting this - I look forward to future videos!

I really enjoyed this! Makes me realize I can easily create spreads instead of just casually placing stickers on my pages. Time to purchase a box set! Also, love how the majority of your entries are about your kiddos. ❤ Lucas is about 2 weeks older than my little girl and it’s lovely to see you capture these memories when I’m also trying to do the same.
I must have binged your other videos all at once a few months ago when I first found you, but this kind of longer form, mixed journaling and vlog type video is even more awesome! It's really helpful seeing how you use your journal as opposed to just how you make the spreads (that is also helpful too though). Seeing the boys in the video too is just too adorable and I love it! Just wanna say that I'm excited for the next video no matter what's in it ❤
awww thank you!!! yeah i was afraid that long form videos don't work since attention spans have shrunk, but there isn't a way around it if i want to show all the details into making spreads and filling them in. im glad you liked it, i'll stick to the same format for the next vide (which will be my hawaii trip back in Jan!).
