Journaling is my self-therapy! I started writing letters to God to help me deal and be heard from my family traumas as a child at 10yo! I have been doing it for 30 years now its my therapy session! 😌 ☺

@@designermombygeetachugh2022 hey, that's cool! You can just buy a notebook or a diary, with all the dates of the year, and just write a little each day. Just try to write a little for each day regularly. I hope this helps.

If you think you can't journal, here's a tip: start writing a letter to your close friend or family who you trust. Just catch them up with what's up... Not with the intention to send it. You will slowly pour your heart out
@albaperez8614

I totally agree with this. This is actually how I started talking to myself. I would talk to people in my head, just talking to them, telling them random things. Then I began directing that voice to myself. I kind of got the inspo from His Dark Materials and how Lyra talks with her daemon. I began saying things like, "I don't think we saw that coming." "Do you remember what mom said about that plant?" "I think we're scared and that's ok." Then I'd have car conversations, just talking out loud like this with myself while I drove home. Somehow that helps release stress. I began to notice that people don't really listen to me the way I listen to them and it was starting to make me bitter. I wished someone paid the same amount of attention to me instead of just always talking about them and their life. I found this way I could be that person for myself because I know that I care wholeheartedly. I stopped expecting that from people because I know that everyone always has something going on within themselves and it has nothing to do with you and you shouldn't take it personally.

I used to journal and without *almost* filters but my friend got hold of it one day and read it entirely. I felt so violated and have not been able to journal properly after that day. I want to start it again. It was helpful to have a space for my own self. It was a really scary thing having someone see you like that.

I think this is one of the things I’ve struggled most with writing and probably the reason I don’t write in physical diaries. I like writing in my journal and leave it in my room or night stand or bed. But one time I was talking with my brother’s girlfriend and she just so casually and bracingly started talking about something I wrote in my diary. And I just acted like it was okay. I didn’t say anything to her. But I haven’t been able to write in journals. I also did therapy when i was about 17 and I would sometimes read diary entries to my therapist. And I quickly realized that that wouldn’t work. I began to filter things. I wasn’t truly writing about whatever was going on in my head. I didn’t even allow myself to shed layers because already i was going in with the knowledge that someone else would read it. So I write in the note app in my iPhone. I can also access them on pc if I need to type on a keyboard. I notice that on there I am more honest. I actually write about things that might scare me. I know that if I died, no one would be able to access them without knowing my phone passcode. And that thought helps me to be honest in my writing.

Wow what a shitty person. I hope you kicked them out of your life you don't need those types of people. Definitely journal again and don't hide it. If someone comes into your home and violates your privacy, they are the problem not you.

I totally understand. Happened to me. I still journal but it's too far and few in between. I've not been able to pour my thoughts ever since my diary was invaded. And it was more than 10 years ago, in 2008. And yet I feel like someone might read it so I'm too on the surface or worse I don't journal at all.

I started journaling at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to track what was going on. This morphed into something so much more. It's a place where I can pour my heart out, speak from my soul, work through my traumas and triggers and track my self-development and spiritual journey. I understand the resistance to journaling but I can tell you it's well worth the effort.

honestly, i have tried journaling on and off and it never worked for me until i found a valid (for me) reason to do so, like for example i will think something that i think is a big realisation about life, about me or my patterns in life and it will be profound but it isn’t always a fun experience when i share them with someone else, they might say something that dampens my mood or just something that makes me go from :) to :( so journaling works for me because i can tell it to myself in a way and still go back to it. And it is a safe space for me to write and go through a mental process. Another thing I would say is that a daily practise isn’t necessary according to me if it doesn’t click, because the pressure to do it daily when it just doesn’t work for you makes you go off rails and never do it again.

I loved listening to you talking about journaling because I really want to journal more regularly and reflect more and make it a every day habit! And I totally get you with writing in filters and go back and rewrite sentences in case someone will read in the future, but you're so right, we should really feel safe and okay writing without fear and filters! This video was so good, it was like listening to a podcast!

Wow!! So inspired to start journaling again!!! I used to do it all the time when I was younger, but now find myself scrolling social media instead- and feeling horrible about myself when I’m done because I’ve just wasted so much time and basically compared or judged everybody else’s life, while ignoring what’s really going in inside my head. Going to make this a daily habit again. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

This has helped me big time. Right now, I am in a state where I really don’t understand what I am going through. I’m not sure if this is because I’m alone, sad, anxious, pressured, overwhelmed or whatever. Whenever I feel sad or lonely, I would always watch your videos and it somehow made me feel less alone and inspires me to keep going. I used to journal before and stopped for some unknown reasons but when I watched your video and I was like “Yeah, why not go back to journaling?” I started writing yesterday and it somehow released negative draining energies I had yesterday. I guess what I wanted to say is, thank you for inspiring many people. I am a fan of yours. Please continue doing great inspirational contents. You are helping a lot of people who are going through a lot in this time of pandemic.

Sometimes, it's just so strange that I relate to you on so many levels. So, I have been journaling from last two years (on and off) and what I have realised is that I only write when I feel overwhelmed with something or someone and I would always end my writing with some encouraging sentences for myself. It has definitely helped me analyse my emotions and patterns and it has for sure helped me GROW. But I really want to write when something makes me "happy" or "excited" and not just when I am sad or anxious or confused.

What a brilliant video!! I started journalling in February as I realised I didnt like sitting with any negative emotion. I love positivity and feeling good so whenever I got a wave of sadness, jealousy anger etc I would surpress it. Journalling did bring to light how sitting with negative feelings can be so powerful and often I was able to get to the core of each emotion I associated with being negative. Interestingly I do not even refer to feelings as negative when I now journal because to be honest they're not. They're feelings and they are there for a reason. I had not heard about free writing before so thank you for mentioning and explaining what it is. I'll be trying it this evening. Lots of love and good vibes 🤗

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with regards to journaling. I have been journaling off and on for many years. It was the same with meditation. About 15 months ago ( during the pandemic), I became very serious about my meditation practice and I have been consistently meditating. Three months ago I started journaling consistently and it gave me such peace and what has worked for me is having 2 different types of journals-one for an adapted morning pages ( I free write but I do take some time moments to reflect on what is going on with me) and another journal where I write an inspirational quote, my daily affirmations, my goals, what I am grateful for. I have found this process very healing as I can get stressed. I notice a significant difference in how I feel should I skip it.

This video brought tears to my eyes. I'm happy you shared it. I also love to journal, I write about my struggles and then when I return to my journal I can clearly see my strength in moving past what was troubling me. Thank you Radhi 💕

Thanks Radhi for pouring your heart on journaling. I definitely was looking forward to find a video on Journaling and got blessed with this. I have been journaling for few years, but without any reflection. So did not get to see much difference it brought to my life. You are an angel came here to bless us and make our lives better!!

Omg Radhi, thankyou! I don't remember the pain and things I use to feel at one point of time. I had a feeling maybe something is wrong with me, thanks for clearing that to me. I don't even remember the memories I had with people and everyone keeps asking me, 'do you remember this do you remember that'? Yes, I have been through hell and I feel sad sometimes. But now I am okay! Thank you 💞 and Namaste. 🙏

I actually came across reflective journalling through my college. I wanted to try it out after hearing the benefits and I did. Then i wasn't sure to what extend should I write; or the fear of someone else reading it, or just talking to myself all alone was scary place to be in. Then i searched and found ur video. i really found it useful to know I was able to feel some of the things you said and I am looking forward to the fruits of journalling. I have been bad at expressing myself a lot, Isay things I never mean and its tough because I cant apologise and unhurt somebody from whats already done. So journalling really did help me raise awareness on how I feel any goodness or worry that had been looming around on my mind. Now I plan to confront it all and create that clear bridge with myself first. Thank you Radhi.💕

I loved journaling and I had started it from my childhood even not knowing what Journaling is but it wasn't consistent listening to you talking so beautifully I think I am going to start journaling again.. Thanks for reminding and sharing this and the thing that striked me was trusting your own opinions.. It was almost like listening to a friend talking to you loved it ❤❤

Omg! I always filter my journaling out of fear that someone will read it one day. And that has actually happened once in high school. No wonder it doesn’t feel fulfilling. I’m scared of what I’ll write with no inhibitions. Whew! Thank you for this.

I’m intrigued about how we both share so many similarities especially regarding feeling about what we got in us to offer? I found myself tidying as something I can do it pretty effortlessly and beautifully and making the space serene among all the activities in the world. I found This strength of mine with journaling 😊 I resonate with you when you say that people go through certain challenges to reach a point in life. And lastly I don’t understand finances either. I’m creative too . Warmly , Ramya

You are a jewel for speaking so openly and sharing these things about yourself. It takes a lot of courage and self honesty. A healthy type of vulnerability. I am just like you in so many ways you’ve expressed here. And I have always struggled with journaling. But I know that consistency would help with those troubles. I appreciate what you’ve done here immensely. Namaste. 💚

In the entire video i was torn between sharing it with as many people as possible and continuing to watch it. It's soo wholesome. Thank you so much💛. I have been doing mediation and i can actually feel the mindfulness it has given me. And though that's actually something i still feel something is left out. Your video told me what it is. And then i admire how nicely you put your thoughts to words. I hope it's something I'll be able achieve through journalling. Thank you once again.
