Hello I would like to know, does the sleeper room only available at the ticket office in railway station? Cause I could only book a couchette seat online...
Hi Frances! Unfortunately it is true. Only seat and couchette can be booked online. However, the sleepers tend to stay vacant till the day of the journey so it is fine if you physically go and book. To be safe, you could book a couchette online and then upgrade to a sleeper at the station for a nominal fee which is what I did.
@@francestheflyingfish5009 You're welcome! The sleeper seat costs about 40 Euros if I remember correctly. You would of course, have to pay in the local currency 'kuna'.
Hello Adam! The night trains in Croatia do not have showers but there is a toilet attached at the end of each coach. Also, there is a wash basin within each cabin of a sleeper coach as shown in this video.
Haha! Thanks for watching this video and the feedback. To be honest, I found the train quite premium and comfortable even though it was slightly old so I assumed it was under the "Euro" category. I loved every moment of this journey and the entire trip to beautiful Croatia! Stay tuned for a couple more videos.
Thanks for the video! When you were booking, did you know for sure that you had the three bed cabin to yourself? Any updates on if you still can only buy tickets for a sleeper cabin in person, and not ahead of time online?
Hey Megan, there really is no way to see if anyone else has booked the cabin with you apart from asking the train conductor. The surest way to go would be to buy all 3 berths thereby reserving the entire cabin for yourself. I just happened to be lucky here 😉 I highly doubt that Croatian Railways have updated their booking process to allow you to book cabins online given the handful of sleeper trains running in the country.
If this train runs again in winter... Two weeks ago I had to take the bus from the coast to Zagreb, as the HŽ apparently thinks that outside of the summer nobody would use the night train because of Corona. :-(
It only has a heater but not a cooling system. I am not sure whether this is because it does not exist at all or because it does not work. This is why the windows can be opened.
