Arnel is valiantly carrying the torch that was passed to him. He is now the face of Journey whether haters like it or not. You haters just waiting on a bad note or a shortness of breath to complain about are missing the whole reason that live music touches the soul so deep. ,,,,,,,,,,,,peace
Very well said....for me arnel is amazing and hamble man even so many haters out there..still dnt like him.but sorry guys we are enjoying what ARNEL doing for us as a true fans of journey✌️✌️✌️✌️
Arnel has a beautiful voice! Got to see him a few years ago and I was highly impressed and enjoyed the show! I love how humble Arnel is , but I hope he knows how much he deserves this fame!
Wow sir ARNEL thank you for making us proud as a Filipino...I dnt care what they say ...your the man and so many younger fans still love your voice...and nice to see you again deen castronovo in journey.welcome back
Just look at far Journey has come,as now they on the LOLLAPALOOZA stage, something that wouldn't even been thought about before, but now, with the respect of fans and peers they're here and thanks to Arnel!
I was invited by a friend to watch a Journey LIVE Concert with AP as Lead singer-and I'm glad I watched the Concert --because since then I get hooked watching this very talented tenor pitch-perfect singer, many times on LIVE Concerts- AP gives such an amazing performance for spectators to come back over and over again- he takes command of the stage and gives such incredible and awesome ballad songs, and a blast rock LIVE Concert--on top of that he has those iconic Journey musicians that complement his singing capabilities PERFECT !! !! it's a Concert experience that should not be missed - worth traveling just to see the Journey Concert! Congratulations AP on his 15th year as frontman for Journey this year of 2022- Can't wait to see JourneyLIVE Concert with AP soon !!
Journey is still great! Unfortunately, I never saw Steve Perry live performing with them, but I did get to see Arnel. Both are outstanding! Thank you, Arnel, for sharing your talents . Also, I am so glad Deen is back with them. When we saw Journey, Steve Smith was the drummer.
I have saw journey first in the 80's and the last tour with Steve the Raised on Radio Tour, I have also seen them with Ariel he is amazing but no Steve Perry, your paying for a great cover show thats about it.
Thank you for Sharing!! Always great AP we love you ❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇵🇭 We love all your imperfections !!! It makes you perfect ❤️❤️❤️can’t hear AP all the audience keep singing ✌️
We have a lot of experts making comments, theres always a group of you people. One, you don't know journey and spit a lot of nonsense about Steve Perry etc..do some research before bashing Arnel. Journey begged Steve Perry to come back and sing in the group and he flat out said no. I'm sure you "experts" can Google it, please do and gain knowledge. Second, where have you "experts" been? Arnel has been singing with this band FOREVER and touring with them all over the world to sold out concerts and numerous documentaries have been made about him, once again Google them. Journey chose HIM after seeing RU-vid videos of him in the Philippines. So, now you experts are saying he can't sing....bad performance...cover band etc....hmmmm who chose him again? the band you all are listening to CHOSE him...You people need to get out of your negative state of mind....if it wasn't for Arnel, journey would have been forgotten by now except the occasional radio play like a lot of great old bands, just be thankful he is CONTINUING the legacy of journey that Steve started. Stop talking and just listen....sheesh.
Well said!! I turned twenty in the 80's as Journey came out with these mega hits, and I didn't even appreciate them until Arnel sang them! He is a mega superstar in his own right.
@@daveholliday3082 I heard, he is shy, that is why he always sings behind his drums and can't sing all the songlist of Journey all throughout the concert.. he is a great singer and a true legend IMO.. He praises Arnel in some of his interviews for becoming their new frontman.
So sick of negativity towards Arnel. These songs were originally sung by one of the greatest singers of all time and if they didn’t find Arnel they’d be going through a multitude of lead singers like they did early on. These songs are hard on the pipes. Just sit back and enjoy them for what they are. Nothing lasts forever.
He doesn't deserve any hate. People don't seem to consider just how much of a toll this takes on your voice... any song originally sung by Steve Perry will be hard on a singer. The way Arnel bounced back into it after his voice was really struggling a couple years ago shows just how great of a vocalist he is. He's great.
@@slamecatzwell5544 Not exactly. Arnel has been the lead singer for 14 years now, and they haven't tried to replace him. Deen Castronovo sings here and there, but that has been the case since he joined the band in 1998.
How i wish i’m in front of that stage watching Journey larger than life 😉 go go go Arnel such a baby face, that’s why you’re still captivating mellenials! More power Journey!!!
I still love Arnel... They are good people.
I will FOREVER love the original Journey line up. I've always been a Journey fan. I'm not going to bash Arnel but Steve " The Voice" Perry's Voice can never be duplicated!
Arnel, don't let the old farts in that band bully & use you. They care only about MONEY. Steve Perry was the nicest, most compassionate, most inciteful band member in Journey. He made that band what it became. The other band members knew that without his amazing voice, they were done. He has such a soft side and that comes out so strong when he talks about his mother. When anyone mentions the band Journey, we know these guys were great instrumentalists but Steve Perry's voice was the greatest instrument that put that band on the road to success. Good on you Steve for being who you are and staying true to yourself. Arnel don't let these old fart rockers wear you out, quit while you are ahead.
Thanks for the message Sharon Mercer i can feel you are a very good person and caring. As a filipino like arnel almost all of us here in a 3rd world country go thru hardships. Journey band helped him so much ro provide bread to his family. Arnel is a type of man that accept all the bullying for the sake of his family.
@@reanukeeves4780 Too bad this band is like that. I agree they did help him quite a bit and I'm sure he is very generous to his family and others. I just don't like to see people being taken advantage off. I think they are wearing him down which is too bad because he is a young man with a beautiful voice.
HEY PEOPLE! YOU CAN EASILY REPLACE GUITAR, PIANOS, BASS GUITAR, DRUMS AND EVEN AMPLIFIERS BUT ARNEL COULD NOT CHANGE HIS VOCAL CORDS AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT HIS AGING GUYS! LET'S ENJOY THEIR MUSIC.
@@lourdes86179 ate you mean Arnel can cover... his voice is natural, knowing the fact po na he started as a solo artist sa Pinas and sa industriya po ng Musika sa tin' mostly po sa kanila pina pa cover ng mga songs especially if ka genre mo is rock, unlike ngayon na madame nang mga artists sa Pinas na able to write their own songs so there's no need to adden up the comment sa taas, just appreciate that she loves Arnel. Steve is known for the band Journey kaya wala kang maririnig na kumakanta sya ng ibang kanta, kase artist po na katulad nila were busy to make music for their own and producing songs (while Arnel was busy making his own name sa Pinas). Steve's a singer, and knowing one of the best defintely he can sing other songs too especially now that he's back in music.
@@pamelagarlito7149 stop comparing them.. huwag nyong gayahin yung mga toxic dyan .. I adore Arnel's voice kase sa lahat ng pumalit ky Steve before sa kanya so far c Arnel ang perfect choice. BUT hanggang ngayon ang lamig pa din ng boses ni Steve and he's back in the industry. Yung boses niya tumatak na sa rock history, Steve was known as one of those voices na malamig at mataas together with Russell Hitchcock in AirSupply, while on the other hand, Arnel has a husky rock voice that can belt! Nilalait na nga sya sa mga kapwa pinoy din ang totoxic talaga sabe matanda na dw c arnel so dpat palitan .. I hope Arnel will stay in Journey walang papalit sakanya hanggang sa ma disband sila
@@kelvinblanca8871 Tell that to Mick Jagger, Peter Cetera, Eric Clapton, when Prince died he was in his 50s and sounded better than he ever did, even look at some country singers like George Strait, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire... I don't think age has a whole lot to do with it, I think it's how you condition your voice and how you live your life.
@@TRANSPORTKING1988 lets see. Prince uses head voice and falsetto so it is debatable. Peter Cetera lost his voice and thus he left Chicago because he cannot reach the original notes anymore. Let's not look any further, Steve Perry also had a hard time singing the songs before he left. If you look at it, when I watched the documentary of this man, when he was younger he lost his voice and was told he cannot sing anymore. It was already written from then he wasn't supposed to sing anymore. At the end of the day, taking care of your voice matters. And what I'm pointing out is old age does change some people's voice. It's a known fact. To add up, someone like Steven Tyler still has the pipes. So I agree with some, but we can never compare every singer in the book just because someone did it. It's not the same for everyone.
Wow he has still great vocals for his age. Amazing. But he needs a break in between concerts. Rock tenor style singing breaks down after 50. Only Once a month concert to sing perfect pitch .
Arnel too. Despite being called a monkey and a karaoke singer he’s held the torch for the band longer than anyone, even Steve while staying humble like he is, while making $$$ for Journey and ex-Journey like Steve. Yet AP’s ultimate dream is to be able to sing with the Legend. Half the ppl are not even aware that Arnel has been singing all his young adult life, now into his fifties. He’s always shown respect for the legend and the band it’s time all of journey fans and SP’s fan give him credit for his work, his struggles, his TALENT. Arnel is Arnel. Period. Just like Steve is Steve.
Paul I heard that he’s been given that opportunity but he turned it down because he is too shy to be frontman. He also probably knows he can’t take the grueling schedule of touring as the main vocal. Deen’s voice is astronomically sound, maybe even better than Steve but then again, the real power will show if one can do it 65 days straight touring 16 songs each time. A lot of strain on the main vocal’s health physically and mentally. Some ppl are meant to be a frontman. Arnel has been doing it for almost 15 yrs with this band alone, longer than anyone even Steve.
