I had an opportunity to drive through formidable Van Zyle's pass in Namibia in 1977. (it was mandatory for two 4x4 to cross Van Zyle's pass)This road is no less formidable than that. Hats off to Gurkha, its power train and the man behind the steering wheel.

Respected Parshant bhi I used to drive Gypsy for 16 year's unfortunately 6 to 7 times my clutch plates were exahused as I use to drive in 4H mood but unfortunately never any mechanic nor any representative from MSL told me that in 4H you have to maintain the speed from 20 to 40 and in 4L you have to drive below 20.i really appreciate you and your experience.Really you tout me a very useful lesson.love respect and regards for you.From now I am fan of you

I think it is very challenging for a car on such a terrain and on top of that towing more than 1ton car to such heights is really commendable. It shows the capability of Gurkha.. Also if one car break down in such situation, people would have said let's go back and get it repaired rather than towing to the top of mountain. Hats off to Prashantji!

I had same gurkha, repenting the day I sold it. Shinkula with 2 ton truck on tow, low end torque on another level. Hats off to this gurkha, till bs3 it is real gurkha ,after that it's another vehicle.

Isuzu us a powerfull car but the weight is too heavy for any good off roader. Compared to thar or gurkha , isuzu is heavy as well. It was very risky continuing the climb after the smell the burning of clutch. Best option was to park it and let the clutch cool down. Usse shaayad clutch bach bhi jata. Plus mujhe lag raha hai ki bhai ne clutch zyada use kiya ya phir clutch kaafi used tha aur aise terrain pe purana clutch garam hota hi hai.

Wonderful Prashant Sir! It was tricky and difficult to pull the car from that terrain! Impressive!!

Superb! Very well done sir. I am amazed at the Gurkha! No doubt it needed an experienced and capable driver like you but for the Gurkha to pull up an almost 2 tonne vehicle uphill at high altitude on rough amd slippery sections is extremely commendable! I currently drive an 3.2L Endeavour 4x4 and plan to buy the 2021 Gurkha soon. Please do a video on the ownership experience of the Gurkha also. The Vcross got its clutch fried due to a combination of reasons. The high gradient combined with sharp turn on slippery surface with unsuitable tyres , 4L not engaging and over revving in 4H resulted in the clutch failing. For the 4L to engage he should have rocked the vehicle back and forth 2 to 3 times and it would have engaged eventually.

Wow this proves that BHP and torque are just some numbers until put to test . And Gurkha is the real and ultimate suv . I think even thar could not have done this . And 👌 driving Prashanth ji .

Great example for those who take their 4x4 to dangerous terrain without knowing the basics of offroad driving...here the Isuzu driver also is throwing all caution to the winds by not using a seat belt
