Enjoy a 4K ride experience video of the greatest ride in the history of mankind(lol), Journey Into Imagination with Figment at EPCOT! All kidding aside, this ride for some reason has become very enjoyable for me, even though it's so terrible overall. I'm always happy to see Figment, and Eric Idle is absolutely hilarious. This was filmed on September 22nd 2022 from around 8:15pm - 8:45pm

The exterior of the pavilion is amazing, Figment is a character original to the parks with no movie tie-in, Eric Idle is great, and "One Little Spark" is such a fun song, yet for some reason, this attraction does not live up to its potential. Somehow, the it seems to lack imagination. The pavilion contains the space for a brand new theatre show and dark ride, or even a combination of the two. With the recent upgrades in Epcot, why was this not part of the plan? In any case, I'm still grateful to watch this video. Thank you for sharing!

I remember the original! I miss The Dreamfinder and his fantastical flying ship!!…and the origin of Figment!!! (“Two tiny wings; eyes big and yellow; horns of a steer; but a lovable fellow. From head to tail, he’s royal purple pigment; And there , Voila! You’ve got a Figment! A Figment of Imagination!”) Figment was so endearing to my generation (yeah, I’m old) because he was voiced by Billy Barty, a children’s television actor and voice over artist…made an immediate heart connection on hearing that voice with those of us who grew up hearing his voice on so many favorite shows. And the content of the attraction…it is only about half as long and nothing of what it used to be (read one caution in 1983, before visiting Epcot that first time, that it could cause sensory overload…and oh, man, it did!) Figment draws me back to this attraction…and memories. Excellent capture 4K!! If only you’d been videoing back then to capture the original!!! (oh man, were you even born yet???)

That’s so awesome that you got to see the original Rick! I personally never got to, but would do literally anything to have the opportunity to experience it lol. No matter how bad this ride is, it’s always wonderful to see Figment and Eric Idle is also hilarious to me! Will definitely miss him when they eventually change this ride! Haha unfortunately I wasn’t born just yet in 1983! Thank you so much as always! 😃

You walk into the park and you see the exterior of this ride, especially at night, and you think to yourself; this ride must be amazing. And the disappointments starts at that. I vote this the attraction that needs the most TLC. The parks have shown how popular Figment is, especially with that silly popcorn bucket. Epcot is need of 3 things; The Mary Poppins attraction, a new country (Brazil?) and the Return of Dreamfinder to the Figment attraction. What’s worse, most people don’t even remember who Dreamfinder is.

Yep, that’s for sure! It’s definitely the coolest building at Epcot(other than Spaceship Earth) and it’s hilarious how underwhelming the ride/experience is once you enter. I feel like they must bring the Dreamfinder back once they finally fix this attraction. Literally everyone once him back, so it’s not like Disney isn’t sure if he would be worth bringing back

My kids absolutely love this ride my 4 year old still tells me about when figment farted on her 2 years ago so happy to see an updated video of the ride for her to watch until we go back

💜💜your description! Ya know when a legendary imaginer wants a ride fixed, it's bad. Poor Fig mouth stopped moving he's so distraught😁. I am thrilled to have gotten the FigD23 ears that were on ShopDiz for a hot minute! All ready for his M&G. Wasn't allowed character M&Gs as a kid so feel stupid to be so excited, but I am. Knew the jumping waters had to make an appearance (YAY) Viva la purple dude! thx 4!! 💜💜

I’m so glad you were able to get those ears! I know eventually this ride will be fixed and will get the love and care it deserves. As bad as this version is, I’ll miss it when it gets changed(because of Eric Idle lol) unless they decide to keep him in the next version! But I feel like that’s unlikely. No matter what though, I’m sooooo pumped for the meet and greet to return! Still can’t believe that’s coming back! Thanks so much as always Liz😊

Can't wait for the Figmet M&G...Hopefully Disney will realize this ride needs a makeover proven how popular Figment is. And maybe just maybe brings back the Dreamfinder. One can dream..lol tfs 4K.

Same here Andrew, still can’t believe the meet and greet is returning! I’m sure eventually this ride will get changed to a substantially better version. I’ll be extremely happy if the Dreamfinder returns, but who knows what/if the future plans are for the ride. Thanks so much as always 😃

I love Figment and this ride is a must for me, even though it should be better! I was so happy you did some of the fun stuff after the ride, especially the musical tiles!! And the outside of this pavilion is perfect and those fountains are the coolest! Loved this one, thank you!!

It is a must for me too, even with all the massive problems with it lol. I’ve always loved Figment, and I personally find Eric Idle really funny as well. The jumping water fountains outside have always been one of my favorite parts of Epcot since I was a kid! So glad that’s still there. Thanks so much as always!

It is a great ride. It needs some updates bad though. Most of the animatronics are barely working and while Eric Idle is great, those screens look like early 90's. The exterior is beautiful though.

I’m so excited for the Figment movie produced by Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures! I’m 100% positive that it will be more family-friendly and not raunchy adult friendly like Sausage Party, The Interview, etc.

Great video as always. It’s such a travesty what the Imagination pavilion has become. The iteration of Figment in this ride is annoying af - original childish delight Figment was so much more endearing.

I read somewhere that Eric Idle has never been on or seen Journey into Imagination. It was almost like he didn't enjoy doing it.

Yep he said that! His acting in this ride seems sooo sarcastic (which is what makes it so funny to me) so I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t enjoy doing it at all lol
