That’s how professional Arnel is. Even he’s so tired, the show must go on. Imagine if he backed off because of his tired voice, the preparations done by the orchestra, the venue, the tickets sold & the fans…. He is really a master showman. Thanks Arnel.
This was 6 months ago.. it’s so phenomenal just a month ago arnel’s voice invigorated! Just when I thought he’s done.. he’s even becoming better.. isn’t that amazing? Watch his “still they ride” “when you love a woman” “faithfully” all were ballads and of course “open arms” were amazingly better instead just 5 months after this performance!

All that work, and all the production that went into this show, this song... A.P. took the song, took its temperance & pissed it straight to hell... Sad, imo, devastating for such the life this song has given so many.
I also liked Steve Perry coz he's the original member while I was in high school when Journey's career was bloomed but I am now wondering if Steve never left and still in the band, will he be sounded the same as rich and as clear as what is Arnel's in his 50's? Just crossed my mind while watching this video. The guy lifted back Journey's name in the billboard whether we like it or not.
Arnel's voice here is terrible, he was singing night every night hitting those high notes. Unlike the start if their residency tour early in December wherein he sounded really good. I just hope Neal Schon and the rest of journey will realize that Arnel is still human being, he needs to rest too.
Was at this concert. Arnel's voice is shot and on Who's Crying Now (my favorite song) his mic went out...great concert musically and Dean and Jason were there to sing some songs and they were awesome. Time for Arnel to go but he won't quit because we he feels indebted to Neil and Jonathan...miss Steve so much more after this concert....love the music but need "The Voice"...

At 54 ARNEL can still do high Steve Perry pitch that Steve couldn’t do at same age. But STEVE ACKNOWLEDGED ARNELs prowess. So Steve is the biggest person than his ARNEL BASHER fans.
I think the quality of this video is not good enough? . It sounds so horrible!!! Arnel we are just human being, sometimes you have to tell nealschon that you need a rest. 10 days singing everyday? And high notes omg!!! Lord help him to realize! He is over used!!
That's how much Steve performed 5 to 6 nites a week for 10 years plus studio albums in between but was smart enough to leave even at the peak of their success because of burn out. Arnel is a big boy and is taking the check as they say so he needs to take a break or leave because all Neil and Jon want to is make more money...Arnel needs to take care of business. People like myself paid good money to see this concert not to feel sorry for someone who has burn out and doesn't do anything about it. They had two others singing lead that nite and they were awesome...it is not the bad quality of the video his voice was that bad.
@@mamajogarcia423 he did great on new years Eve in New Your. the only reason I stayed up until midnight was to hear Arnel sing and I was not disappointed. Planning to go see them in Seattle this spring. can't wait!
Wow Arnel sounds horrible here! They had a week off dont give me that night after night nonsense. This was filmed too to be released on dvd i highly doubt it will be if he sounded like this that night

It was that bad and it would have been a great DVD with full orchestra etc but Arnel was awful...I even sat next to the father of one of the cello players which made the nite special because he was so excited...however at the end of the day because of the voice quality alone I would not recommend watching this if it came out as a DVD.
@@jackiesakane6954 This is such a shame, I also saw the huge mic malfunction while playing Who’s Crying Now happened. Was very surprised nobody stepped in to take vocals on it or Arnel just took someone elses mic to sing it ( Wondering if it had to do with the voice enhancements they have hooked up to his mic recently) but very sad and unfortunate indeed :/ I’m a huge Journey fan and love Arnel so I’m not happy to have to say was a disappointing performance but I’m not living in delusionalville. Also kinda surprising they gave the cello players family tickets up in the bleachers or worse he had to buy his own tickets…Hopefully a few goodies come out from this I would love to see When You Love A Woman finally get a live filmed release 👍

Arnel is 54 y/o now, but he is still singing and hitting all high notes everey night. His voice is over used he need to rest, but salut for him to finishing the shaw... without arnel jurney is nothing in this era
