Toddler riding a bike at 3 years old. My son started on a Strider balance bike just after he turned 2 he went to a Woom 2 after that. With a surprisingly smooth transition he was riding by years and 3 years 1/2 months old without training wheels!

Thank you for posting this, great to see the transition from a balance bike to a regular one. And the puddle challenge! You have an amazing boy. :) I'll do the same thing - remove the pedals first and let my son use a normal bike as a balance bike.

At balance bike stage, I like that he immediately, and likely instinctively, zeroed in on riding through puddles. It's as if such was a natural moral imperative. I suppose, in young child's mind, it's just the right thing to do; not to mention, FUN!!

Look forward...look forward...who on earth does not need to be reminded of that! This was sweet and felt hopeful ☺

My 3 year old little champion didn't use a balance bike at all I put her on her 12 inch bike and she immediately started to paddle by herself with lots of confidence she was a pro first time of riding a bike💪😊

Very cool. My son is making 3 years in one week. Did exactly the same progress as yours in the first bike, full of confidence. I think im getting this bike for him but he is a litlle bit smaller than your son and thats my only doubt/fear. Riding first without pedals is a very good idea.

The Woom 2 bike is amazing! He really did just start riding with pedals in just 2 days with them on! We had the pedals off the bike and used it as a balance bike for a couple weeks so he could learn the hand brakes. My son is small for his age, I was considered about him fitting on it too. Look at the seat height, my son was right at it but he made it work. I would order one sooner than later, they’re always on back order but if your lucky you can find them used for sale but usually over the retail price.

You shouldn't practice riding a bike with training wheels anyway... Good job little buddy... My son didn't feel like swimming exercises... That day, he learned to ride a bike within 10 minutes. Weeks before, he didn't feel like it

After watching your video I don't know which bike to get for my son who just turned 3. I wanted to get a balanced bike Woom 1 Plus but then I saw how you took off the pedal of Woom 2 and got confused why would I consider Woom 1 Plus... Do you know of there is a good reason? My kid is tall for his age. Not sure if he needs a balanced bike or not...

how long did he use the balance bike?

Can you remove the pedals and use as balance bike if freewheel is installed?

How tall was he when he started riding the Woom 2? My son’s height is within Woom 3’s range but hebhas short legs with an inseam within Woom 2’s range
@MultiPHILCORE
@MultiPHILCORE 2 года назад
I’m not entirely sure how his height measured up to the recombinations but the inseam was right at the bottom of the range. I’d say the inseam is more important than height, my son wasn’t able to stand and ride until a year after learning to ride. Comfort on the seat is important, I’d say as long as they can reach the ground on their tippy toes you should be good. You don’t want them to grow out of it too fast either, my son was on a woom 2 for only a year and a half until he started riding a woom 3.

Could you tell if you checked strider 14x in compare to woom2?
@MultiPHILCORE
@MultiPHILCORE 2 года назад
I did not we only used there 12” balance bike. I did not compare Strider 14” to the Woom 14”. I just fell in love with all I read about Woom and went for it.

Do you recommend strider as the first bike for a two year old over woom 1? I see you went that route. I’m just concerned for the foam tires being able to be used in a backyard for instance
@MultiPHILCORE
@MultiPHILCORE 3 года назад
The Strider was given as a gift, the goal at the beginning was never really to have him ride early but he took to the Strider really well and with consistent seat adjustments to keep him on his toes I could tell it was working so decided to get the Woom 2. That being said we road only on pavement and I’m sure the Woom 1 is a spectacular bike it just wasn’t the route we took.

What makes it so noisy while driving? Is it breaks?
@MultiPHILCORE
@MultiPHILCORE 4 месяца назад
The clicking you hear is the ratchet mechanism for the free wheel. It allows you to pedal backwards freely and clicks while coasting or pedaling backwards. Similar to the clicking sound of a socket wrench when turned “backwards”.

Firstly I had to mute all that meaningless plinle-plonke noise in the background. Noisepollution!
