I always use your “the adventure begins” track to start off each session as we all get ready to start. How fitting would it be to end the campaign with this song eventually. I’ll hold onto this for a long while

this came perfectly on time as we concluded an arc that had lasted over 2 years! i played this while describing the aftermath of a siege on the city that the party had prevented (at a price - half their party permadied) and everyone cried at least a little bit while the dead pcs described their final thoughts and regrets. absolutely adore how melancholy this is, and my players loved it too (even if they were cursing it for making them even more emotional) !!!

This is how I ended my first campaign today. The whole 5 level campaign my brother would joke at any serious moment (including the final boss) but when I turned this on to end it off he said “I don’t think I’ll make a joke here.” And that was just perfect end to my first DnD experience!

I feel like this really emphasizes the end of a journey for an adventurer in D&D. A hero returns home after nummerous quests and dungeon crawls, to finally settle down and retire their life of adventure, to live that happily mundane life! Love it!

It's just so..... beautifull and sad. Like you came back from a long journey, but at what cost. The lives that were lost on the journey weigh heavy on your conscience while your eyes fall onto the place you once called home. You want to rest, but you aren't sure if you didn't change to much to call this place home anymore.

Definitely would have used this last week for the end of my campaign’s B Plot. An NPC sacrificed himself to save a party member, and they held a state funeral for him.

I'm holding on to this until the adventuring party defeats the Dragon Cult and Tiamat. They're still in Hoard of the Dragon Homebrew campaign and it's down to the wire for season 1. They are betting everything for a sneak attack with no escape to take out not one but 3 generals (Rezmir, Langdedrosa, & Othelstan) at the castle. They have a score to settle with the first two ever since the battle of Baldur's Gate who lost 3 out of 8 players. They had a bond with these characters during down time and side quests they did together, and now revenge is within grasp in this near death situation.
