Join us on an enchanting journey through Haagse Bos, one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands, as we uncover the beauty of the majestic Huis ten Bosch Palace. Discover the vibrant heart of the city center and get a sneak peek at Ruchi's holistic therapy. Plus, enjoy a couple of delicious meals along the way. Don't miss this perfect blend of nature, royalty, and wellness!
Clearly we love eating at SLA. We have a ton of places like this in the states and we miss having more of these options available.
Ramen was from Takumi. I highly recommend it. We will be eating there again.

What a beautiful forest stroll. Lots of lush greenery and that palace oh my gosh so stunning. Loved all the wood cravings and cute forest playground for the kiddos. This looks like a place I’d venture to a lot. Your food looked so good as well. Thanks for sharing your little venture with us. ❤

Hi, Nice stroll. If you look at the palace then you didn't see the Royal Standard (an Orange flag) so the King was not at home!

Good to see you found the "Haagse Bos". Except for the palace it has remained a forest since forever, thanks to some old decree. Likewise, the large rectengular grass field is protected by an ancient decree (16th century if memory serves me well) to remain just that. It is known as the "Malieveld". It is used for demonstrations, temporary circus locations, events like The Hague had the largest pasar malam of the country. The deer park is known as the "Koekamp". Just FYI...

@@RiversRoamEurope About 15 fallow deer and 15 red deer. The cabinet, with the support of parliament, has decided that from the year 2024 no breeding or supplementation will be allowed in deer camps in the Netherlands. As a result, the 250 deer camps in the Netherlands will eventually disappear. De Koekamp is one of them. There will probably be other animals. The name Koekamp was derived from bullfights on the veranda within high wooden fences, which took place until the end of the fifteenth century.

@@NL2500 Thank you so much for letting us know all of this! Ive never heard of fallow deer. That's so sad that they will eventually disappear.

@@RiversRoamEurope There will still be wild deer on the Hoge Veluwe, for example, but you will rarely encounter them there in the wild because they are quite shy
