Ram Thakur Bhijnalaya is the best place for meals, chowmein and momos. Get anything you want freshly cooked for just you! I ate all meals there for months and my stomach never got upset. Ram bhai ji cooks with such passion! For food, 2nd best is Malhotra home stay in Multhan. Though there are many places to eat yumm food but either city people do not like the set up or menu or do not get the expected city-like welcome, furniture and ambience. The new fancy restaurant are so hopeless...avoid. Barot is a little heaven meant for trekkers. City souls need ease, too much comfort and are lazy. No trek means you miss hidden natural beauty - lots of waterfalls, views, meadows...but they need good short & hard OR long & easy trekking.

What an absolute pleasure it was to watch this video journey Avinash. Congratulations to you and your entire team. There are many thoughts which came to my mind immediately, viz : 1. How many towns with the name Gumma are there in our state ? This is 3rd I heard after Gumma near Kotkhai and Gumma near Fediz Bridge. 😊 2. I have never been to Barot but it has been my dream to visit this magical little town. The journey from Jogindernagar to Barot via beautiful villages of Ghatasni, Tikken Bridge and Lachkandi looks stunning. 3. For a long time, I kept confusing between this Chauhar (Chuhar ?) Valley and the Churah Valley in Chamba. Now I will never forget coz Chauhar is Barot 😅 4. As I have mentioned in some of my earlier comments as well, Ghatasani on the Pathankot Mandi NH is going to be the starting point of the planned new road that connects Chauhar Valley with Kullu's Lagg Valley, via a 3.2 km long tunnel under the 2900 m Bhubhu Jot. That project is a dream project of the people of both Mandi and Kullu districts, as it will reduce the travel time between Mandi and Kullu by half. It will also bypass the problematic 6 mile point on Mandi Kullu expressway. Sadly, nothing has materialised in over 30 years of planning. 5. The other critical project that is lying in a cold storage in this region is the Baijnath - Utrala - Holi road. This 65 km long road will connect Palampur, Mandi, Kangra and all towns on the Pathankot - Mandi Highway to Holi in Bharmaur thro a breezy 2 hr journey. Today the journey from Holi to Kangra is a 14 hr back breaking trip over 268 kms. Holi is also next to Multhan villege of Chhota Bhangal. Imagine the magical transformation in the lives of the people of Chhota Bhangal, Bada Bhangal and Bharmaur if that small project is completed ! We should make some efforts towards that, shouldn't we ? The goodwill of your YT channel will certainly help. I am sure PWD Minister Tikka Vikramaditya Singh will understand if we present our case in detail. . Thanx once again for an amazing journey. Looking forward to the Part 3.
