Our official language in Suriname is Dutch. Several other languages that are also spoken here are: Bahasa Java, Sarnami Hinustani, Jewish, Arabic dialects and Sranan Tongo.
And different Maroon languages like Saamaka and Okanisi..The indigenous people do speak different languages too like Arawak and Carib. English is widely spoken. Brazilian Portuguese is quite common as Hakka and Mandarin.
