Thank you for making us a part of this Guinness World Record! It was exciting to have the Taycan go underground at our nickel and copper mine. It was a pleasure working with your team to make this achievement possible.
The rain on the windscreen at 3:33 was awesome. It’s important Porsche work on ambient sound other than tyre noise, which can be replicated by every other EV manufacturer.
How many times did you find a non working charger ? Isn't it frustrating when you pull up and you see a little note taped to the charger saying "broken"
I would be more interested to know how much time you spent charging and how many charges you needed for this trip. Did you have trouble finding chargers in northern Wisconsin and outside of the major cities? How about around Pike’s Peak? (I own a Taycan Turbo and charging continues to be a problem.)
I really don’t understand how this is a record. I love Porsche and most of the content is great but this one kinda sucked! I was expecting the Taycan to run up Pikes Pike as fast as possible. A little click bait huh???
@@IanCoxAfrica I did watch the whole video and yes I do understand altitude. Aren’t EV’s not as affected by altitude as combustion engines? I was expecting something different or more exciting from a viewers perspective.
@@ryancosta8878 I get you.. it's pretty much a marketing thing. An expensive advertisement.. and, regardless of the altitude impact on EVs, that wasn't the angle. They were pitching to wealthy and adventurous young couples who will probably never enter a cruise ship. Same like people hike all the "high peaks", some are interested in the geographical expanse (altitude) of a trip like this.
Well that's the one real drawback of electric for petrolheads. No soul. The car feels like an appliance, and the throttle pedal becomes a speed regulator.
