Between March and September 2021, the Reykjanes peninsula in southwest Iceland experienced a volcanic eruption. It took place in the Geldingadalur valley, right next to the mountain Fagradalsfjall, a remnant of an earlier eruption.
I was lucky enough to spend a night with this “monster”, just before it fell into a deep sleep.
