以西方管弦为承载，东方旋律和乐器为核心，两首大厅音乐以宏大的交响感为大家呈现西天取经之路的征程感和使命感，希望给大家带来新的回忆与感动。
孙悟空的大厅音乐在大家耳熟能详的《云宫迅音》旋律之间穿插了表现取经之路艰辛与低谷的变奏段落，最终又重新回到大气磅礴的主旋律。猪八戒的大厅音乐里，民乐与管弦交织，在表现诙谐滑稽的感觉里，也融入了他正义除妖时的勇敢与决心。
这次管弦的录制在维也纳Synchron Stage Vienna进行，希望给大家带来更丰富的听感体验。同时我们也加入了中国国家天文的科学家用“天眼”从宇宙采样的声音，对声音进行了加工，处理成Kontakt和Serum可以加载使用的音色，让这些音色可以自然融合到史诗感的管弦音景里。

I am Vietnamese, and I was very young when the 1986 version of Journey to the West first aired on TV. Back then, the economy was tough, and not every household had a TV. Every night around 8 or 9 PM, you could see people of all ages, from the elderly to children, gathering at a neighbor's house to watch the show. Each evening felt like a small community gathering, with everyone eagerly awaiting the broadcast. This theme song would echo throughout the neighborhood, creating a shared moment of excitement. When 敢问路在何方 played, it always left us with a sense of longing for more.

For millions of East Asian culture this song and the story behind it is not just a simple television show theme song. The song was the closing of episode song for the Chinese TV serie "Journey to the West" - 1986, more appropriately "Westward Exploring Diary". The main story line of the serie is based upon a classic Chinese novel; telling the tale of a Chinese Buddhist monk who embarked on a journey to collect the original Buddhism scriptures in what is now modern day India or Nepal. Geographically the Western countries compare to China is nowsaday India. The event was somewhat true; there was indeed a historical figure during the Chinese Tang dynasty who did go acquiring the orginal Buddism scripture in Sankrit and translate it to Chinese. The author of the novel loosely bases on the historical events; romanticised and fantasised the tale; adding alot of fanstatical and fictional elements to the story; making it a mythology. It is similar to the Greek mythology; weaving historical events with divine elements to perpetuate the tale for hundreds of year to come. This tale is ingrained in the Chinese and East Asian culture extensively; and it is very culturally influential.

The Monkey King, Sun Wukong The Celestial Swine, Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) The Flowing Sand River, Sha Wujing (Sandy) The White horse Dragon, Bai Long Ma And of course the Great Monk, Tang Sanzang These five companions are on a mission to journey to retrieve sacred texts from the west (modern India/Nepal) to spread the teachings of Buddha to all of China. Sun Wukong and the others vowed to protect Tang Sanzang from demons who will try everything in order to eat him so they can be immortal.

journey to the west 1986 version has made a significant impact with this theme and now hearing it adapted into various games is incredible! what made this theme sepcial was the electric syths used in the original composition, which made it portray to the feeling of Wukong cruising through heavenly palace on the clouds. the original novel is one of the four great Chinese classical novels published in the 1500s, a good read if you can push through the length of it.

From Black Myth Wukong Trailer back to childhood memories. It good but not enough to me become a good person now. from history prespective, another interesting fact is that Monkey King story was written in Ming dynasty era when China invented Printing Press machine. While the rest of the world requires hundreds of people to rewrite stories for months, in China with printing press thousands of copies get made in days. The invention created booming in cultural and entertainment where consumers demanded for good stories, to read, to watch, or for Opera dancers to play. Stories and legends were created all in this era, Monkey King, 3 Kingdoms, Neza, Xie Ren Gui, Last Banquet, and many more. The stories so inspiring, people built temples to worship fiction character until today.
