Lots of points to talk about - You guys want more content and stuff right? The story for Hello is the last part... she has prologue 1 and 2 that kinda show how she had boyfriend #1, they broke up, she got boyfriend #2 and were getting along well... then we cue into the MV of Hello and it seems that Joy's relationship didn't work out and she is in a rut... as well as a journey to pick herself up by doing a road trip - this is Joy's solo debut as herself outside of Red Velvet yes - This is indeed kind of like a tourism attraction for Jeju island... the residents of Jeju have a history of being influenced by Mongolian culture who was also into nomadism and shamanism hence the similarity to Native North American elements - Joy originally gave the general idea and feel that she wanted to portray in the MV and her team filled in many of the blanks afterwards and this is how all of it came to be... she has a behind the scenes video dedicated to it actually and a few other contents on the official red velvet channel to give more context behind all of this Do you have any other things you wanted to know?

Wait WHAT? Esosa haven't watched Psycho? That song was the ticket for Red Velvet to conquer the world, but then Wendy's accident happened right after the first and only stage performance with all 5 of them. Going back to Joy, had no idea about her hometown connection, that really make it more special.

So as far as I know (and pls correct me if I'm wrong) the MV was filmed at Jeju-do (she is from there) and they showed people and things that are common around the area (like the women divers). Also some of her dreams were being a kindergarten teacher, dog trainer (I hope I'm correct) so these were kind of showcased too. Fun fact: the whole album is a remake album of songs from early 2000s.

red velvet activities have been slowing down since last year, so they debuted a sub-unit irene&seulgi, soloist wendy and now soloist joy. this was indeed joy's solo debut. she debuted with a remake album, and the title song was first released back in 2003. joy was the one who picked hello as the title track, she wanted to give comfort to the fans during this hard time. "annyeong" can both be hello and goodbye, and the song title was supposed to be goodbye, but she decided on the title to be hello as it was her solo debut, so a 'hello' for her new journey. she has also released two special live clips so far of two other songs from the album and you can check them out if you're interested. and thanks for reacting to the mv. i know it might've upset you guys seeing that part in the mv but I'm glad that you did your research in the end. i appreciate the reaction so much! 💚

Hello... Yes, this is Joy's debut as a solo artist, "Like Water" was Wendy's first solo and Irene&Seulgi was RVs first subunit. I'm new at Kpop but it seems like SMs GG have a tendency to go solo/hiatus after their 7th anniversary, that happened to SNSD. They will probably have a comeback, but yeah, as a recent Reveluv I'm TENSE with this whole situation and anxious for a comeback... Can't wait for you to start the RV journey on this channel ❤️

this song and the album that she released are actually covers from 90s-00s songs, reimagined in her own style. she wanted to do songs from these eras so it could be kinda relatable to like the moms (hers in special) and kids who jammed to them but also be like a reintroduction for new ppl to know them, as well. she picked Hello as the title track cuz, as it is her debut, she wanted to say hello to the ppl and invite them to get to know her on this new solo artist journey

The way I interpret this is that some boy left her when she was pregnant. After crying a little she turned her outlook around & decided to be happy with her new daughter. Wherever they go to, they would stay together. It’s a beautiful song and wonderful message. 🎶🎶
