Personally I think the "ancient weapons" aren't TRUELY weapons. Same way with nuclear power. Nuclear power can easily change the world in a good way (energy) or bad way (nukes). Joyboy probably wanted to pass down the "tools" but others saw it as a weapon.

(Sorry for length. Just thorough with my thoughts is all.) One of my (for funzies) theories for a while is the ancient kingdom invented climate tech and barriers before everyone else. The world was going through a global warming crisis with drought, depleting resources, etc and their country was self sufficient due to the tech. The ancient kingdom refused to share the knowledge with the view that if everyone else died, they'd be able to stabilize the world afterward and control everything. 20 kingdoms joined together to fight for that tech. Decades of war. Ancient kingdoms created weapons, eventually won. Climate tech was shoddily made and placed around the center of the globe and failed when activated making everything go out of whack. Before the broke down they started a cascading melt of ice covered regions and the sudden shift threw the globe off balance. Some of them are broken and still working, resulting in the chaos that is the Grand Line crazy weather. If they're deactivated, temperatures could shift again, the flow of the Calm Belt would be able to flow out, world wide storms, access to islands in the Grand Line would be easier to access for everyone, WG control of areas would be overrun with people wanting to see new places and pirates taking the new easy routes. Okay done.

If Rayleigh & Shakky were at Sabody, then it is possible that the Boa sisters & Gloriosa are tagging along with Hancock in her journey to find & "marry" Luffy, which could become an unexpected set up for the next Arc, regardless on where the SH & their allies will go after Egghead! If so, then this could be a great opportunity for some Hancock related theories to be confirmed one way or another!

It's obvious that he knew before he died, he wished to pass on the weapons to later generation for threats like Imu-sama and the five elders. Like the blueprints for the pluton battleship was pass down to shipwright to shipwright protecting the blueprints from those who abuse it's power.

Listening to your comments on the ancient weapons reminded me on another quote on another "ancient" weapon... what is a hammer, tool to create? Or a weapon only to destroy?... what if the ancient weapons had another purpose.. like terraformers?.. we know they have to ability to change the physical landscape of the one piece world.. so maybe that's why joyboy wanted to pass them on to future generations...

My hope is that the Armored thing that’s guarding the snail has a defense that is way stronger than the elders so Vega punks whole message gets out. But also it has some type of skill that Luffy can learn from to be able to damage the elders. Or at least some technology that Frankie can use

What if Joyboy’s plan was to destroy the old world to end the war? By fracturing the world and creating brand new land it would recreate the start of adventure. À adventure for the future to enjoy. Equal opportunity for everyone to start anew. It could explain why his crew betrayed him, believing he was saving the world only to reveal he was actually going to reset it.

I think it’s possible that Kizaru might’ve in some ways tipped Vegapunk off that the World Government was coming for him under the hopes he would just run away. For Joyboy to pass the ancient weapons to the future generations is highly likey that there's another enemy other than Imu or the world government maybe (another/world/outer space) or idk but there's probably a third party in all of this

I have a theory, motherflame is a offset power from sungod nika power to create stuff and have fire based attacks. Only way to get the one piece treasure is to have sungod nika fruit as a key.

I think that Luffy might get his hands on that fuel for the mother flame use it as an enhancement of some kind. Which reminds me of how Sun Wukong absorbed the heat from a special magic pot that was made to kill immortals like him. Plus, since Gear 5 looks a little like Zeus from Greek mythology. Absorbing a part of Uranus make sense as the latter is an ancestor of Zeus (Grandson (of the Primordial God of The Sky, Uranus))

I think that the reason joy boy wanted to pass on the ancient weapons is because it was not created initialy to destroy de the world, as it always happens in reality, science create A LOT of good things that is perverted to destroy, but in the beggining the plan was that it should be used for something really good. So if joy boy protect the weapons for the future generations, he is risking it all for them to handle it and use it for the good of the world.
