See my true reflection cut off my own connections I can see life getting harder So sad is this sensation, reverse the situation I can't see it getting better I'll walk you through the heartbreak, show you all the outtakes I can't see it getting higher Systematically degraded, emotionally a scapegoat I can't see it getting better Perverse and unrealistic, try to make it all stick I can't see it getting better Hollow now, I'm burned out, all I need to break out I can't see life getting higher Love, life, makes you feel higher Love and life, makes you feel higher Higher, higher, higher, higher Higher, higher, higher, higher Love of life, makes you feel higher
What the time passes to posterity is the imprint that a mind leaves in the men in the world. It's almost 40 years since Ian Curtis died and yet his words wrapped up by Joy Division music reach us and continue to tell us about what has been and what is and will be. Who says "I can't see life getting higher" On the other side another voice talks back "Love of Life makes you feel higher" that's the most trivial and superficial answer that another person can say to help him.
Certainly a different style than Hooky! Curious what other songs they’ve swapped instruments. I know later Barney played bass on Confusion and Hook guitar.
IS IT JUST ME..OR ARE JOY DIVISION CONCERTS SO DARK..YOU CAN`T REALLY SEE THE BAND..I MEAN HAS ANYONE EVER ACTUALLY SEEN STEPHEN MORRIS ON ANY FOOTAGE OF JD LIVE LOL...
Chris Woodcock i don't know if this is true but I think its dark because if Ian's epilepsy so he has a smaller chance of having a fit, or maybe its just atmospheric darkness.
Chris Woodcock It’s because of Ian’s epilepsy. One concert the light technicians turned on the strobe lights when they weren’t supposed to, and thus, Ian had a seizure.
