Recorded 45 Years near to the day....could have been recorded this morning. Saw them in my teens at Eric's in Liverpool at one of the Under 18's afternoon gigs they used to put on. I thought they were good but now at 61 the world missed out what could have been the best band ever. What could and should have been!!!

JD were writing so many songs in '79, that I don't think they had time or perspective to realise how great they were. This was used as a B-side, and they "gave away" two of their greatest songs "Atmosphere" and "Dead Souls" to an obscure French label. Timeless stuff.

Thank you for putting this on. Never got to see Joy Division I was a few years too young. Went to Hacienda though, many a time. Saw New Order, A certain ratio, Happy Mondays to name a few. Just waiting to see Peter Hook and the Light now, if I can.

Morning seems strange, almost out of place I searched hard for you and your special ways these days x2 I used all your time, learnt to killers ark took threads and abuse till id learn the part can you stay for these days used outward deception to get away broken heart romance to make it pay these days x2 we'll drift through it all, its the modern age take care of it all now these debts are paid can you stay for these days?

I think it's "learn to kill is hard" ("killers ark" makes no sense) and followed by "took threats and abuse ...".

Brilliant band, brilliant song,joy division is more than just Ian Curtis,though without him the band would of been just another boring wannabe punk band,love this version

tony naylor disagree but yeah Ian was the key element. The others made the music though, and in a massive way shaped the unique sound joy division had. Ian added meaning and emotion to that sound.
