Just finished watching Joy of Life 1 two days ago, for the second time, binged it and it was just as great the second time. The casting, the acting, the writing, sets , costumes, the story line all 10/10 . The role of Fan Xian is made for Zhang Rouyun. I have been watching Chinese dramas for about 7 years now, and could not name a male lead actor who could pull that off. He is in almost every seen, but the camera loves him, his facial expressions, mannerisms, body language are limitless. First 2 episodes of Season 2 did not disappoint . You love and know the characters so well, you're so invested in all of them, that you have see this terrific story and plot play out.👏👏👏👍👍👍

I was late 5 years for Joy of Life Session 1 !!!😅 The drama it self Unbelieved hand down!!!!👍 With not much expectation i start watched and finished Session 1 in 3 days!!! The plot, the stories, the fighting scenes, the actors and actress, all …everything Brilliant!!! This is one of the BEST drama!!! Now I’m in eps 10 session 2 !!! Sooooo exciting!!! How ML made everyone exciting to come and watched the “show” in the court;) I strong recommend this Drama!!! But please start from session 1 , you will never regret it !!!❤❤❤

Zang HaiZhuan , Story of Pearl Girl & Immortal Ascension seems promising from the posters and trailers shared on Youku Conference - all characters are intriguing. Positive response for Zhao Lusi's drama - a very strong female character role after a long time in cdrama . 🎉🎉🎉 Personally excited for Liu Yuning's role , since he is playing the antagonist.

Li hongyi and chengyi are both my favourites. Yay.. Also Arthur Chen😊.. have watched 4 episodes of jol 2..wow ..even after 5 yrs they have not lost their touch. I am so happy.

Right now Cheng Yi has the most dramas I'm looking forward (the Heroes one with Arrow Sheao) and also the one he's just started filming. I prefer him in wuxia dramas rather than Xianxia. Also really looking foward to Xiao Zhan in his upcoming court intrigue drama, as those I really enjoy. I don't usually enjoy modern dramas though.

By the way, is there a way to see Chinese movies, such as the upcoming Condor Heroes one? My go-to for Chinese dramas is Viki, and they do have movies too. Just wondering if the Xiao Zhan Condor Heroes is most likely to be on Viki, Amazon, etc, since I don't follow the movies as much as dramas.

Yay for JoL2 for it's Premiere. However, I have a bit of a wait till most of the episodes are posted since I don't like having to wait for eps. Glad to see Yang Yang back and in a costume drama no less. I am loving it. And equally loving Song Weilong, finally, back in front of the camera. His last drama was fantastic and so different. Also, I am soooo excited for "The Story of Pearl Girl". Regarding "Regeneration", I have 2 words to describe the 10 exquisite episodes that take us on quite the mesmerizing journey; BINGE WORTHY!! (Word is there is speculation of a S2 OR an Easter egg. I HATE a great drama being messed with by adding unnecessary Seasons. This is one that should be left alone. An easter egg maybe with an alternative ending maybe.... but that's it. Good night, Marcus and good night all dramalanders.

I’m in the U.K. so I normally get the update a day late, but I’ve been in Alaska on holiday, so I get to see it just an hour after posting! I really enjoyed Will Love In Spring, but the drama I’m waiting for (next year?) is Shui Long Yin with 2 of my favourite actors, Luo Yun Xi and Fang Yi Lun. I like anything Bai Lu is in too.

Too many costume dramas. Wonder what cud be different than what has not been released till now. Realised I like out of the box drama like "To the Wonder". It was a simple, sweet, non complicated, short drama. Also liked Will love in spring. I have left shooting stars half way but will complete it. Also watching "Tell No one". I am more fond of mystery and crime genre. Hope to see more of them

Waiting to binge watch JOL 2

I just discovered C & K dramas 6 months ago by accident. What a RABBIT HOLE I fell into!! Now more recently I found some really good Thai ones. Lord help me!! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂. There are SO MANY good shows & actors I struggle to get as much done or to bed on time. 🥴 I kept seeing Joy Of Life mentioned constantly but the synopsis never hooked me. Not a big fan of time travel n heard it ended on a cliffhanger. But then bc season 2 was made I decided to check it out. I’m only on ep 14 so long way to go and trying to avoid spoilers. Ha ha. But WOOOWWWW! The plot can be confusing at times but Zhang is just soooooooo awesome to watch. He’s not the typical drop dead gorgeous hunk you see in a lot of dramas but to me, hes more attractive BECAUSE of who he is and not how he looks. His character, strength, heart, humor, intelligence, kindness, his “down to Earth” vibe he portrays in the middle of such a harsh judgemental culture at that time is beautiful to watch as he transforms more and more into his mothers mission statement for the world. Even tho he struggled not to he just couldn’t ignore the injustices in the world. Ironically, a lot of that seems to be happening in the world today now too by millions of people. It makes me happy to see more Fan Xians in the world. 🙂. I DO believe shows, actors, characters like Joy Of Life also transform those that watch them. In just 14 eps this one has also affected me. And I’ve been surprised to see the more dramas I watched the more “I” changed listening to these hidden nuggets of wisdom dropped within these scripts (a great way to get your message out publicly without getting into trouble speaking up against injustices in the modern world). I saved some of my faves and re-read them to inspire me when I get up and see what craziness has happened that day. Two faves from “I Am Nobody” and “Burning Flames” that bring me strength, peace and hope when I read them. My father told me in places we can't see, there are many nameless heroes all protecting this land. This protection is made up of the blood of all those ordinary people who sacrifice in silence. People live to uphold justice, no shame before Heaven and Earth, no regret in one’s heart, and no fear against cruelty. Have no shame, fear or regrets. May your life be like the stars, shining bright in the sky, and having no fear on Earth. Contain the energy in this world inside your body. Then generously return it to the world in your own way. A cycle of in and out, it goes on without pausing. This is the true meaning of your power…. My understanding: Alchemy. Life is made up of energy, master your energy, CREATE your “reality” and re-shape the world as well. I, in the chaos, distingush between light and dark, Heaven thrives and Earth finds peace, the people are nurtured and creatures begin to flourish, Man follows the Earth, the Earth follows the Heavens, the Heavens follow the Tao, and the Tao follows Nature The only enlightenment is the path ahead of you… I took this to mean that basically we learn and grow as we experience life. Enlightenment only occurs when one has the “experiences” that bring contrasts and choosing our path from it - every minute of every day and they are all blessings in disguise. Higher evolution through our choices.… I would never have been exposed to so many alternative perspectives, cultures, languages if not for stumbling on to these. A gift from the Universe? 🧐. I think so. 😬.

I'm not gonna lie....because of the hype...and li Qing and Xiao Zhan as costars...I tried to watch joy of life S1 and can I tell you I fell asleep yall😅😂😂...is it the drama kinda boring when it started out or is the issue me?..Im still wondering 😅... Offering Salted Fish to Master....is on my watch list....can't wait to see Authur back on screen in Cdramaland.....that boy has so much potential and talent for acting...even while being my favorite nepo baby😅.. Legend of the Condor Heros film....hopefully when airs in China....it doesn't take months before an international release....I heard the director was trying to get a simultaneous release internationally as it aired domestically but not sure if they were successful in doing so.

As someone who watch and the drama dan the novel, the ending of yan bingyun killing fan xian feels like a mistake Because this opening of season 2 is so round about of the novel plot. But maybe it will implicate the later plot too, idk. But the scriptwriter surely working hard🤣

Is Joy of Life any good? I haven't even seen the first. Zhao Lusi really BOTHERS me. The new role looks fierce but I'm left searching for the fire in her eyes (fire like Jin Yan and Ni Ni type), that separates traffic from real talent. I'll give her another chance for this drama but I mostly find her unwatchable.

I am disappointed 😞
