i loved this movie when i watched it. it made me realise how mothers are and what they do for their children. so please children learn to love your parents and respect them :) GB!

When i saw this at the movie theater, after she gave ger speech, everyone started clapping :D

i had the same feeling toward my mom in this scene i thought she hated me because I was pretty and everything and then i heard queen latifah speak (it was like hearing thunder in rolling winds, i felt like my mothers spirit was being channeled through this character lol) but after i heard it...i got my act together and i chilled my ass out

KeKe reminds me so much of my sister, smart speaks her mind but kids these need to be put in check because their parents and ancestor worked hard to give them a nice life.

*CLAPS* YAAAAASS MAMA YAAAAASS, one of my favorite scenes in this movie, anyone who thinks that the slap/"Mother's Speech" wasn't needed after the child was being disrespectful…doesn't have kids or is very lenient lol (no offense to those who didn't like this scene of course) -- for the record I don't have kids and I think that slap was well deserved because had it been me saying all that to my mother yeah I'd have been slapped before the BS came out my mouth haha

I know how Olivia feels, but there could be lots of disagreements against parents and their kids.There’s a situation that be handled.What you saw in this scene may not be the best to handle the situation with your parents. In my opinion you parents shouldn’t say to your kids that you’ll get over someone they love, cause it’s not really your place.I had a similar situation like that with my own mother, I thought she hated me because I’m annoying and she said she loves me not matter what.Another funny thing about this is that I tell my peers to treat my hyperness like a Kendrick Lamar humble song.I was laughing hysterically when she said that she would give herself CPR and we all know that’s impossible.

This scene I loved it BUT it would have been more realistic if Latifah would have smacked Keke when she said, "don't bug your eyes out at me". It's a movie so she had some more lines to say but in reality that wouldn't happen. The moment "Don't" escaped her lips it would have been over.

No offense to anybody who likes this scene or the entire movie itself, but I feel that the infamous "GOOD DAY, SIR!" scene from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" was far superior, in regards to the late great Gene Wilder's acting and how effective it was compared to this, and how Wonka didn't have to resort to cussing back or even slapping people. If anything at all, I'd say that Vi Rose could have taken lessons from Wonka's standpoint on how to really put her daughter in her place. Simply put, sometimes a sharp toned lecture without putting anyone down or cussing or striking is all it takes to put somebody, kid or adult, in check. Now I'm sure y'all may argue that Grandpa Joe's berating Mr. Wonka and stubbornness and vow of revenge by selling the Gobstopper to Slugworth may indicate that Wonka's rant at them wasn't effective enough, but when you think about it, Charlie did begin to see the error of his ways and even earned Wonka's forgiveness right after he returned the Gobstopper to him. Therefore, I'd say that Wonka's rant did have some effect on them and in a good way, too, unlike here where Olivia still had a bit of rebellion left in her, which is worsened by the fact that her mom actually APPROVED of her daughter wearing revealing clothing at the end, and especially after that rant she just threw at her. It just goes to show, along with a lot of her other actions in this movie, that Vi Rose is NOT the Godly woman she makes herself out to be. I mean, I know even us Christians are not flawless, but I've seen some Christian movies portraying the flaws in some of their characters who are Christian in a much more positive and accurate way. This filth movie really fails on so many levels to show the flaws of its church going characters who, when you think about it, aren't true Godly people at all. Regarding the term "lukewarm syndrome", you cannot be half a Christ follower and half a world follower. A true Christian would remain in Jesus all the way, and I oughta know, 'cause I've been feeling distant from God lately and I've been meaning to get back on track with Him. I just hope y'all can think about that.
