This is the best Joyo California review on the internet man! Incredible job Jonathan. Your playing is also FANTASTIC. I am now a fan and subscriber. I know its been a while since you posted this.. but do you happen to remember the settings you used on the Joyo California for the track you played at 1:19?
Great demonstration!! Tomorrow it will arrive at my house... The American Sound is also very good and has excellent equalization... Thanks for your superb work! My best from Italy Roberto

Great "Song" portion of the video, nice playing! I subscribed. This is one of my favorite pedals. The clean settings are great and the high gain options are beastly! Very versatile pedal
I’ve got the British Sound and the AC Sound and love them both. You make this one sound so good I might need one of these, too! Great playing through it!
Sorry Jon, I got too enthralled with your playing that I forgot this was supposed to be a pedal demo. Had this video looping in the background while working. Thanks
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Am i correct in assuming that if I plug this pedal into a DI with cab Sim or a IR Loader and i would have essentially a amplifier and all I need is to have a xlr cable to hand to a sound tech to plug into the FOH mixing board and or a 1/4 cable to a floor monitor/amplifier ?
@@TroyNaumu808the california sound has its built in cab sim. It sounds good even by itself. But maybe a IR of your taste could improve the tone. Anyway, test it with and without IRs and be happy.
I have all four of these Joyo "Sound" pedals - they really sound great for the price. I've found that the California pedal is surprisingly versatile - great clean tones, along with the hi-gain sounds. Great demo.
Thank you Jon. Love your playing. Love your whole approach and methods of teaching. This pedal is very cool and you my friend make it sound awesome. I'm in. Thank again I'll be back. F
@@JonIsJustTooLoud you betcha i subscribed baby, not Just that, I've bingewatch a lot of your chanel, do you have an ac tone and an oxford sound videos (the vox and orange versions of this pedals)?, I can only find the marshall and fender ones, also i would love your opinión on the electro harmonix crayon its a gem of a pedal, i will continue watching your content, Im learning a lot and the editing is outstanding 👌
Very nice playing sir! I've bought the ACtone, the British and the California. Into my audio interface , Reaper and a Two Notes Wall of sound plugin where I choose the Power amp (6L6,EL84,EL34,KT88) , the speaker and some mics, a little post EQ, compression, reverb and the sounds are exceptional for the price. This comes very close to the recorded tones of our heroes. The built in Cab sims are very reasonable but there's room for improvement and Wall of sound delivers that IMO. The extreme settings don't work for me because they sound artificial. Thevoice knob and the very good EQ gives you a ton of options. Keep on rockin!!
Beautiful guitar playing Jon. That's my style love it man. Nice reviews take care 😎👍🎸❤️🙏💯. That's definitely Pro level playing. Damm that was good 👍👌💯🎸🎸
That was a beautiful and melodic start to the video Jon. It really sounded top notch too. Joyo are great value and this one sounds really great. When I think about the money I put into dry awful demo’s in the 80’s and think that with this and a pc with some effects i could do a much better demo now. Wow !! Great review Jon cheers. 😄👍👍
Nice playing and composition s well, especially when You play using less gain (the beginning of the song). And combining the sound of accoustic piano together with tasty electric guitar makes it event better!
This one is really great on a PBass, any bass actually but takes a vintage voiced pbass into the 4th dimension!! Lol The newer Oxford is alot of fun on a fat 50's voiced HSS, especially with a decked 6 point bridge and some sproingy trem springs. Bon aventur!
I kindly ask you one thing: I have noticed that even when not activated, these cabsims modify the sound: for example the American and the British with only a compressor at the beginning, give me a beautiful sound, even when turned off, perharps better than when one of the two is activated . In the sense that if I leave the level, voice and guide at zero, no sound comes out; if instead I leave the parameters as when it is activated, it sounds great. So basically, even if it's not an amp simulation, it's still a separate effect and produces great sounds even when turned off. Am I the lucky one or is this what happens usually? Thank you
Nice demo! You already made me buy the Harley Benton American TrueTone and now I was wondering if I should get this one too or save some money for the Maximum OD or the King of Kings. I know its comparing apples to oranges, especially with the built in cabinet emulation, but is it possible to dial in the most sounds of the California in the MOD/KoK ? I'm using an amp, so a cabinet emulation is a nice to but not a must have.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Oh man! This song is so beautiful, I would love to mix it, even though already sounds great. Reminds me some of T-Square vibes, but I can listen your vibes louder than the theirs.
