Came for the demo, stayed for the playing! Seriously, Joyo makes some great pedals. I'm currently running a Tai Chi into a Fulltone OCD. I've been considering the Joyo King of Kings, this is a harder edged sound. So many choices ..... a great time to be a guitar player!
Thanks so much for what you do!! I’m just starting guitar and bought the Harley Benton 550ii BCF and I’m so happy with it! My first purchase was a 58’ Gretsch Clipper with two Filtertrons and a Bigsby. I’m still just working on strumming and learning chords. I love your channel and enjoy your playing. Watching you makes me want to keep going 😀 I’m starting my guitar journey at 51 by the way
That’s so awesome Dave. I have found in life it’s never too late. I learned guitar at 27, which most people would probably say is too late. But it’s been an incredible 25 years. And I just learned to ride a motorcycle last year at 51 years old. Something I wanted to learn all my life.
It's nice that there is affordable pedals out there for guys like me, who don't play professionally, but still want that good sound without breaking your budget. Thanks for the review!👍😎🎸🎶
Couple years late to the party, anyway I really like this pedal. I like the MOSFET and smooth setting a lot, though all options are good. Ge clipping would have been the cherry on top. If I could only use one pedal it would be... the Hall Of Fame 2 or a better reverb. Ha! But yeah, it's my favorite overdrive pedal. Awesome guitar playing BTW.
Jonathan, as always, a joy to listen to you. Cheers and have a fantastic evening! (Got my sparkly Harley Benton and suped it up already also.. EVH pickups and all new electronics and tuners...thing rocks!!! Ground out the trem rout to allow deeper dives. Also sounds very nice clean too!)
Another very impressive Joyo overdrive. They make some excellent value pedals Jon. Your intro was out of this world too. You could tell, you enjoyed the tones. Nice one 😄👍❤️❤️
Hi Jonathan. Excellent video as always. You told us that you usually play through Helix Native when you do these videos, but I am curious, what settings do you use? Amps etc Thanks.
Thanks Jonathan, great demo. I notice you were playing a humbucker style guitar, will the tone fatten up some single coils on a Strat ? Thx (New Subscriber)
Fulltone fulldrive clone for a fraction of the cost, guns and guitars does an A B of the two and there isnt much difference at all to my ear. Thanks for the demo, Im most interested in the R series Tauren and Taichi, Klon and Dumble clones.
