Love your feel bro.You are the only who makes rock sound sweet & smashing. You've got the blues of Garry Moore right there! I incorporate the same styles in worship music & it has a great appeal out here in the US.Keep up the good work.
I am on my 3rd JUD pedal! Not because it broke but because every time I sold it I regretted it. By default I use a Maxon OD-808 but I would happily use the JUD in it's place. The amount of drive you can get from this pedal is amazing! Highest gain OD I ever heard. Never had a bad Joyo pedal. Great playing btw :)
Unbelievable Roy! I've got this axe too! It's from 1998. It's my most expensive solid body guitar. They've been so underrated compared to the single cuts the past decade..., but I observe more appreciation now. I bought mine, because I found the single cuts too heavy.
Nice sound you've put out! The way you pick/hold your hand is unique...don't recall seeing it held that way :) Say...can you point me to the backing track? Great melody to jam to for sure.
+David James Hi David Yes, I still have it and always will. Its an incredible pedal especially if you like the 'Dumble' Carlton, Ford type sound. Its not limited to that though and is very versatile. I have a few Joyo pedals and none of them disappoint.
hi Roy Gud Mng Bro...great playing ..which I feel comes from within a person..gadgets are just an extension..of those feelings i also play at age 74 . search youtube instrumentals by ainsley wright ....bad luck no pedals for me dear...cant afford one ha ha ha...keep on rocking bro....love your playing ..God bless you all..take care
at the beginning of the video it says joyo was off so when you turned up guitar volume was that drive sound just from the amp clean channel just breaking up or gain channel
In other reviews this pedals sounds muffled and muddy, how is it posible that you create such wonderful tones from this pedal? Now because od the other reviews I'm hesitant to buy it, between the ultimate drive and the husky drive from joyo witch one has the better tone? Witch one would you recommend I get? I'm looking for a pedal that will do country, blues and rock.
Very Gary Moore-esque. This is why I try not to pay too much attention to gear demos. Great players make everything sound great. Bad players make everything sound bad.
Hey man, between this and the US Dream, which one do you think has more mids and lows? I'm looking for something that is smooth without taking off the lows or much at all
Paul Foo When it comes to tones the Ultimate Drive probably has a bit more versatilely. Also, the Joyo Sweet Baby is definitely worth checking out as well. It's good if you're looking to create a smooth, thick and creamy tone.
+david oriordan nah man, they seem to be standard knobs and switch in DC Pro model www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/gibson-les-paul-dc-pro-electric-guitar
Somehow, I managed to make my Ultimate Drive sound really horrible, unlike Roy who makes is sound gorgeous. I ended up trying to 'spread' the usable gain region with a well known easy mod, but ended up bricking the thing.
I also can't quite get mine to sound like this - it always seems too thick and muddy. Roy's tone is incredible. It sounds better with the gain set lower.
it's been 8 months...I was wondering if you managed to make a pedal demo yourself? You've had time... seeing as how you're an ultimate arbiter of taste and everything.
