I have played this pedal, and it is 100% legit. One of the only budget pedals I have ever liked. Lots of range between hard rock & metal. Very flexible mid range control. Excellent gain without fizziness or krunch. Probably as good as any expensive pedal.

Sweet Riffage!... I have the older Joyo "crunch distortion" that im fairly certain the Uzi replaced in the range and it has been a mainstay on my board for the last few years... the uzi seems alot more flexible! Great demo and review! Probably be getting this one! sounds killer!!

I bought this pedal about a year ago its a great distortion or can be great used as a boost on a dirty channel with gain off. I just bought a B-52 Ls-100 head and matching 4×12 and this pedal sounds great into the clean channel. It is very versatile for playing classic rock to modern metal. Its built well and was 35$ what more could a man ask for. Nice demo robert. I actually watched your demo because i was just watching your latest studio tour 2021 video and saw the uzi so i knew u must have made a video. Im like u i think its an excellent distortion. Joyo nailed it. Originaly i was told it was a ratt clone but then was tone its supposed to be a marshall in a pedal but idk i just know they r great. Plus the red light on the front is bada$$.

That thing sound's great. I could tell you were digging the tone . You were getting into the feel of your riffs alot ! Really full and thick sounding . Hard to beat that tone for the price .

That was Freaking Awesome! And what a killer name Joyo come up with for a distortion pedal -UZI- Because it just sprays you down with high gain! Starting at 0:40 seconds into this demo, that was a bad ass wicked heavy metal instrumental! I love this demo. Rock on Robert. 👍🏼👍🏼

I’ve kicked around making a video on that before, but most of my viewership seems to have a MUCH bigger interest in guitar gear than they do recording tips and techniques. I may still make that video one day though, I haven’t decided yet.

For a 50$ pedal, it's rediculously good. Seems to be great build quality. (And of course the lights are cool, says the child in me 😂). My first Joyo anything, but will definitely be checking out some more of their products.

I can attest to the durability of at least the joyo pedals I've owned... ive practically done a war dance on top of there "crunch distortion" pedal (MI Audio Crunchbox) for the last few years and it is showing no signs of quitting anytime soon.

Cool video! Ever thought of doing a guitar heads active pickup demo? Just going trying to get more videos on the Tube, not many good ones out there.

I’ve done a couple of pickup demos in the past but I generally try to avoid them to be honest. It usually means I have to modify one of my own guitars, which is either time consuming or costs me money out of my own pocket to pay my tech to do it for me, and in some cases both of those. Pickup demos are also very difficult to capture the true sound of on a recording. I love guitar pickups, but demo videos on them are a lot more trouble than they’re worth. I’m not saying I WON’T do one again, but I definitely can’t do it for free or even a free set of pickups.

Hey Robert, great video! I noticed you have the tascam dp-32 sd in the background. I am experiencing skips while recording. Have you experienced any, and if not, what brand of SD card are you using? I have a video on my channel that shows exactly what mine is doing. I think it has to do with my SD card.

Mine is actually the DP-24SD, but yes. No, I haven’t experienced any problems with it at all. I’ve just been using a Sandisk 16GB SD card with it. Like I said, no problems at all.

I bought this thinking it would give the Friedman B.E. range but it’s way too mid rangy for me I’ve played it through more than a couple of tube amps and even the boss katana Artist Mk II and it never gives me nothing near what I was expecting or at least hoping for and I love playing saturated guitar tones it just sounds way to thin for my taste !

Not going to lie . That is an infectious riff . I keep coming back for a listen . Very creative , killer groove . Intro is like downtuned " girl's , girl's girl's " . The dark less distorted clean note's give it a killer tension . Then the break is a happier like downtuned Sunset Strip riff . Then the groove . It get's you . That is a real creative riff . A little of alot of stuff . Motley Crue, Hetfield , Pantera , then a bit of LA party riff , just in a metal way . Very good riff . You can hear in your head . A killer good song there .

The intro it sounded pretty good, this type of distortion pedal isn’t my style and not something I would consider purchasing but I liked the way it sounded in the intro. Then when you did the play through where you were turning the mobs it sounded so tiny, thin and really nasel sounding. Sounds really compressed guess it’s alright for what it is then again I may not be who this pedal is marketed at

Not likely. I believe the Extreme Metal is a clone of the EHX Metal Muff, in which case I’ll rip that pedal to shreds because I think the Metal Muff is one of the shittiest sounding pedals on the planet. LOL

I really like a chunky 80s sound (The rat never really did it for me) so it was gonna be a MT2 or the UZI now that you have cleared up the other question. I may go with both the UZI and berhinger ultra metal for the price. However Ill start with the UZI.

Of course phone speaker wont do this justice. If i hadnt just picked up an MXR Raijin (which goes into my CRATE;)) maybe this would have been nice (the raijin sounds better than the Crate od channels)

Depends on what sound you’re after. If you wanna sound like Avenged Sevenfold, get the Uzi. If you wanna sound like Godsmack or Five Finger Death Punch, get the Metal-End King.

Really , I love it when they Demo a pedal through a $2000.00 Boogie Stack loaded 4 X 12 Celestion Vintage 30s or a Kemper set up all miked up with $500.00 microphones through a computer interface with Amp sims coming out of $2000.00 studio monitors ......Yeah that's fair . @@natethompson7196 I got it , I run it through a Sans Amp FLY RIG 5 V2 and it sounds GREEEEAT ! I am using the Tech21NYC Duce Deluxe a 200 watt FRFR and it has Girth , Thump and Clarity . My Rig is nearly complete . I'm looking at either the Killer Wail Wah , or the Joyo wah V2 . You gotta have a Wah . then I want a MXR chorus AKA Zak Wilde , then a Uni-Vibe or a Keeley Dark Side .

Great playing, but the pedal itself sounds like shit. Typical cheap distortion ultra gain fizzy unusable type of pedal. Save those 50 bucks for better amp or get a Mooer rage machine. Cheap, but sounds ten times better than this.
