He is my favorite anime youtuber and the most entertaining. I certainly watch other channels for recommendations on new anime to watch like; mothersbasement and digibro. They are certainly better in that regard.
I feel like Jozu’s best ability would be called “black diamond” which basically wraps his diamondized body with haki. Basically 2x the defense. Would be dope and I’m sure Oda will do it.
I know I have heard of people in fiction who can break diamonds with their teeth as a performance. Apparently it is an expensive performance and not even the greatest trick that the person in question can perform.
German guy here. The words Gefängnis and Typ were a little bit mispronounced but overall it was quite ok. Therefore I award you 8/10 "Ende sämtlicher Streckenverbote" road signs.
i think it's because if he covers his limbs in diamonds they're very stiff compared to usual, so he only uses it on parts of his body he intends to attack or defend with depending on the situation
7:20 Diamond has one of the highest melting temperatures of any substance we have. That's why Diamond is so useful for grinding things down. Since it can handle the rubbing and also the heat. Carbon even in non diamond form is extremely heat resistant.
Btw. "wie bist du..." was well said for the most part. " Wie bist du aus dem Gefängnis gekommen, Kroko-typ." is translated to "How did you get out of prison, Croco-guy?"
In terms of heat resistance diamonds are extremely resistant to being exposed to high temperatures but they also have extreme heat conductivity. So, Oda could take this both ways either Jozu is very resistand to heat or it can also start to hurt him immensely on the inside of his diamond armor after a certain temperature threshold if he has a human body on the inside.
the sound effect for mihawk's slash was on point ! imagine jozu's awakening or just busoshoku over his diamond shield that would be like the ultimate shield!
@@mohamedlalioui8757 Before the timeskip coating was never shown. But considering Vergo and Pica... two guys of Doflamingo´s crew... and even Bellamy uses coating in his arm. One of the commanders of a Yonko crew that was able to face an admiral, he could.
@@andrejosue98 i concur about the fact that it was never shown before the timeskip; but there exist two applications for the busouhoku no haki one where you can defend yourself with an anvisible armor as explained by rayleigh, while the second allows you to touch and harm DF users especially those who become intangible (logia) by coating as in hardening or "galvanization" ! i wouldn't think that they'd forget that before the timeskip, i mean adding a whole new effect to the haki if it wasn't an another application , also my pleasure to discuss One Piece with a fellow fan !
@@mohamedlalioui8757 The invisible one can protect and attack too. As shown with Rayleigh, Jozu and every armament user before the timeskip. It is not that they forgot before the timeskip... it is just that Oda did not think it before the timeskip. You would guess that the admirals, Whitebeard, Yonko commanders, and allied pirates and marines would be able to use the "black coating" but it was never shown in Marineford. Even Bellamy has it now. Also it has never been explained the difference between the black coating or the invisible coating. We need Oda´s explanation for that.
With regards to Jozu blocking all those attacks, you have to remember that it's not just diamond, he also has haki to amplify the toughness of the diamond.
Oda could also be going from the angle that nobody in the one piece universe has enough connections to modern day technology that allows us to shape diamonds. Like, we in the modern world can cut diamonds on cleavage points but nothing in the one piece world is sharp enough to accomplish that. We can combust diamonds in our world but nobody has access to that much heat (not even Oven) to burn diamond. So it's still like diamonds in our world but the one piece world isn't advanced enough to affect diamonds.
I think Oda did that with the intention that diamond, aka Jozu, will be an ally. Therefore it would be a waste to cut an ally. At least that's my head canon.
@@patskokan6334 that part of the conversation is actually filler, in the manga the fight ends with zoro saying "I thank you" when he manages to cut down daz bones
AH SEU VOU exactly, a lot of people aren’t taking from the direct material but the anime and a lot of things in anime didn’t happen or weren’t said in the anime
I feel like Jesus Burgess would be very powerful with Jozu's fruit. They both have the same kind of fighting style so it would be easy for him to adapt to it. I also believe that when the Straw Hats fight the Blackbeard pirates that Sanji will be the one to fight Burgess.
Mihawk wanted to see what the power gap between him and Whitebread was, so it probably was The Strongest Slash, be probably put most of his strength into it. And it wasn't even worthy of reaching the old man lol
@@anthonyhowell4090 Your point makes no sense... since a flying slash would get weaker the longer it flies. So even if it was his strongest... when it got to Jozu it was not as strong as it was as it began
I wonder if Jozu could, instead of making a fist, make another shape with his hand and have a useable weapon. If he could possibly control the facets of his diamonds and make spikes, as you theorized, I think it's highly likely. For instance, he could flatten his hand and make the diamond edged on the sides of them a sharper angle giving him diamond blades. Or he could make the tip of his hands come to points (like the bottom of the stereotypical diamond shape) with a very sharp angle again this time making his hands into thrusting, spear like, weapons. With the indestructable nature of diamonds in One Piece think of the possibilities this would give him. He could learn slashing sword moves to give himself a ranged attack. He could also (at least in my opinion) cut through something like Doflamingo's threads. In spear mode with his hands close together, or brought together as a single point, he could fire himself from a large cannon as a surprise attack bunker busting projectile. Maybe he could also make edges on the bottom of his feet and skate around like Mr. 1 to give himself a degree of extra speed. With the properties of diamond in One Piece and the possibility of manipulating the facets and edges of his diamond form (at least to a degree) he could do much more than just be the equivalent of a human shield/wreckingball.
Diamonds are weird. Their strength is very dependent on the direction they are hit from. In some directions, they'll resist a decent hit. In others, they just kinds slide apart.
No one i mean like how cool would it be if zoro had a sword somewhat similar to Inuyashas. Zoro has 3 basic swords meanwhile Mihawks sword is cool af even Whitebeards bisento is a cool design. Give zoro something more unique than just a basic sword with a design on the blade
It's true. A diamond's toughness is more a matter of resisting lesser damage like surface scratches or something like that and metals like tungsten, titanium and even really good steel can be possibly be stronger, but that doesn't mean it's easily breakable. You might be able to crush a lesser quality diamond with a hammer, but you'd definitely need a lot of force behind that swing. It also won't shatter like glass, more like fill with tiny cracks and just crumble apart life safety glass. And breaking handcuffs made of diamond hard material is nearly impossible even for people as freak show strong (compared to normals in our world) as Luffy or Zoro. Bottom line: Diamond might be breakable, but Jozu's still the toughest f*cker in all of One Piece.
@tekking101 well Diamond is actually made up of Carbon atoms that are in covalent network structure. And it's actually not the most thermodynamically stable state of carbon (that being graphite). So given enough time (millions of years) diamonds will eventually decompose into graphite. *My only take away from my Chemistry Degree
Jozu should've been the richest character in OP, he could make a fortune off selling diamond, but as we know, gold and treasure matter more in the pirate world, and most definitely to Nami-chan lol
@@stanj85 Pretty good. Only "entkommen", "typ" and maybe "Gefängnis" was said in a way where i would not have understand what was being said. "Wie bist du" is said perfectly.
Tbh I wish to be a RU-vider you are my favorite youtuber hands down you have alot of talent and keep doing what you doing cuz you motivate me and alot of other peiple
objects like diamonds are measured on multiple different 'forms' of hardness. From scratch hardness, to indentation hardness and rebound hardness. Diamonds got high scratch hardness and indentation hardness but its got low rebound or impact hardness which is why hammers can break it
If Shiliew can't get the kira kira no mi then I want his sword to have it. Maybe Blackbeard is very intelligent and knows how to put fruits into objects.
@Drew McAdam yes becuz he has a strange body so maybe he associated with vegapunk and instead of being just a test subject he was an assistant and now knows about all the devil fruit secrets
Okay, this is my first comment on your channel, but I watched like every single One Piece Video you ever made. Let me say: God I love your content! Keep up this great work! :) And yeah, u pronounce the first 3 words almost perfect, the rest is..well german is hard :D
when you say diamond is the most supreme in terms of hardness it basically means it is hard to penetrate; as hardness is defined as resistance to penetration
Diamond is actually easy to shatter. On the Mohs hardness scale, materials can only be cut by other materials equally as hard, and the harder they are, the more likely they are to break apart when met with extreme force. This is why "shattering" a blanket is so hard, but shattering glass isn't.
how hot the flame is doesn't actually matter, diamonds only burn in an environment of pure oxygen. also you got "bist du" perfectly right, everythzing else was just terrible.
I feel like burgess could later down the line own the diamond-diamond fruit with his wrestling ability, brute strength and his endurance it could be a real problem
As someone who studied geology for a while I'd like to point out, that diamond in fact is really hard to shatter however it is easily splittable if you hit it in the right angle. There's even a story of the craftsman who should shatter and polish the largest diamond ever found (the dove egg in the scepter of Britain is the largest piece of it) and he put his chisle the wrong angle, which shattered the chisle instead of the diamond. (sry if some words are wrong, just a German guy here)
Another great video man, I really love watching these op videos there cool and cringey at the same time and it's wonderful. But when will we get a video on trebol or senior pink?
The whole cutting diamond thing was related to what Zoro learned during that fact. No not cutting steel, although that is one thing he learned. It's when to not cut. Diamonds are considered valuable, which is why Zoro says it would be a waste.
Considering it doesn't seem like he can move in diamond form, I'd probably have small openings in the diamond armour. Then you could make it articulated and move around and stuff. If you could change the texture you could make actual medieval style diamond armour. That'd be cool.
All the diamond rumors can be tracked back to the debeers company in the 1800s, they needed a way to trick ppl into thinking diamonds were rare so they could create an artificial scarcity and be rich forever.
Diamonds really are one of the hardest substances on Earth. But the harder something is, the more brittle it becomes. That's why when hardening a sword having a balance is key. If it's too hard it shatters and if it's too soft it bends.
Tekking you said that diamond has a high scratch resistance so it would make sense that a slash move wouldn't be that effective. Now if he was to be hit hard enuff against an object that was equally as hard as him so his body couldn't just absorb the impact he could possibly break thin.
