I have known JP since he is a little boy and he truly truly has a heart of gold. Always polite and conscientious - he gives me hope that everything will be okay because good people exists in this world.
@@danielavaldez2960 Agree. Though up to '96 ata millenials. Gen Z is '97 to 2012, Gen A 2013-onwards (wala pa na-determine na limit) But yeah, tanders na sila. Gen Z (post-millenials) ang mga kabataan ngayon. Mga teens and young adults :D
Hope more pinoys will sing in their local languages like ilonggo, ilocano etc Buti pa mga bisaya, very proud and always ready to showcase their rich heritage :D
His smile is so contagious that it makes me realize that smiling really makes everyone around you feel good.. 😊😊 For those reading this, always smile - it’s free... 😊😊
From other regions as well like ilocano, ilonggo etc. Pinoys should always be proud of where they're from Lets all learn from these very proud and talented bisayas :D
His voice was like those who do the Responsorial Psalm at Holy Mass and it really sounds good, eargasm as they say. He also got that old sounding vibratto which makes the song sound good, ganda din ng mga low notes nya. Good decision for choosing Familea! Goodluck on the next round.
He speaks 'po.' In cebu, tagalog is rarely used hence po is not heard as much there But since he's from mindanao, cebuano and tagalog are both spoken there hence his exposure and usage of the tagalog 'po' nuance lol
Cebuanos love this song "Usahay" which literally means "sometimes" in English. It is very popular in the whole Visayas and Mindanao and even Miss Pilita Corales has its own version of this song.
I think the title of his song is Originally Waray language which means..... Sometimes...? Anyway,He sung it very well....I love the outcome and the voice quality...Lami ug nindot paminawon...
@@jeughnallyson5844 AMEN TO THAT! I can actually envision him singing a lot of different genres beyond that kundiman-balladeer tones, maganda timbre! Ang pogi pa! Konting dance and acting workshop lang, panalo na! Pang teatro nga frequency niya actually. ♥
Hope more pinoys will sing in their local languages like ilonggo, ilocano etc Buti pa mga bisaya, very proud and always ready to showcase their rich heritage :D
@@user-kx6fw8ub9g Cebuano/bisaya is going mainstream.. whiich is not surprising. For one, kpop nga (absolutely foreign language) tinatangkilik, local language pa kaya like bisaya lol For another, bisaya is actually the second biggest philppine language with about 23M native speakers. Close second to tagalog which has 26M native speakers, and ahead of ilocano (abt 12M) and ilonggo (close to 8M) Hopefully umangat din ibang local languages at umabot din sa mainstream like whats happening to cebuano/bisaya now
@@sololeveling1013 let's not go there hahaha. no need to sexualize/objectify him hahahaha. May appeal siya yes, but your thoughts are your thoughts so thanks for sharing. Hahah.
Usahay means "Minsan in tagalog" Sometimes in english" a visayan immortal song of the cebuanoes that spread all visayas and Mindanao. I love this song that is why I miss my grandma and my mama.
he's my favorite so far.. good looking.. voice quality.. and appeal.. he will make it in showbiz.. JP Romero, i will remember your name.. and will follow your singing career path.. good luck
The translation of "usahay" is not so much literally "sometimes" but nearly "now and then", "seem always" or "then as always". It is used poetically in the song. Time is always liquid or differential when the Visayan associate it with love. The two lady judges are the attestation of this poignancy and it is also a confirmation of their high soul-talents and superior aesthetic tastes. The rendition is viscerally superb.
A great balladeer at a very young age. Happy he chose Lea. I think he can showcase his talent more with the help of Lea. The natural rasp in his voice is very remisicent of Erik Santos. It gives his voice a good character. He also reminds me of Tim Pavino also from Team Lea.
yes but i hope he wont play safe like Timmy did. I love Tim but he just sang ballads all the way till the semis which disappointed me. I think JP can do some jazz and soul too.
Such renditions inspired me to appreciate visayan songs and even songs of different languages aside from english and filipino. Filipino songs in native dialects somehow teach Tagalogs to explore songs beyond their tongue. This renditions from a fine looking man mingled with good vocals really exudes with tonal sweetness which really beckons the listener to finish the song because of the smoothe delivery and transitions.
Very refreshing. This is how you really judge the voice quality of a person pag kumakanta siya in a dialect na hindi mo naiintindihan. Pure musicality ang labanan.
It reminded me my parents who left me behind (passed away) for almost 10yrs na,,paborito nila to huhuhu i missed them suddenly ,,mabuhay taga cebu,!!!!
talent is enough. tanggalin na ang stereotyping na pag may looks mas may chance sa showbiz. singing contest po ito. sana mas tingnan ang emotion at vocal prowess ng mga sumasali.
I love this song. I always sing this whenever we do karaoke. wala pa koy nakit an sa you tube na millenials nikanta ani. now i have something to watch over and over again aside from watching Dulce sing this song.
