Is it, though? Just from knowing either Mark or Peggy should give people a clue that the thumbnail might not be so straight forward

Whenever Mark does a negative review, the thumbnail has fire and smoke at the bottom. And mostly when he makes a unique gesture in a positive review thumbnail, it's usually a 9/10.

Honest question for anyone who reads this: would I like this album? I have been looking for something different from all the black metal, death metal, and metalcore I have been listening to recently and have been hearing that this album is great. I'm mainly asking this question because I don't listen to a lot of hip-hop/rap and have never listened to JPEGMAFIA. For reference here are all the hip-hop/rap albums, or tangentially related albums, that I have heard (I enjoy them all). 1. A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory 2. A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders 3. twenty one pilots - Vessel 4. twenty one pilots - Blurryface 5. The entire Linkin Park discography 6. Gorillaz - Demon Days 7. Slipknot - Slipknot

I was just looking for an opinion on this album in particular but this looks like a great list of albums to check as a palette cleanser for the metal I have been listening to. I will say that I have heard about a third to a half of the albums on this list. Anyway, thanks for replying to my question.

JPEGMAFIA is unique enough for hip hop fans. I think you should give him a try but expect to be thrown off and suprised by pretty much everything.

Loved this album. I really like Veteran and AMHAC too and this one is great addition to the catalogue. I also give it a 9

Definitely his best album and a top 1 or 2 rap album of the year. Glad this one clicked for you more than the injury reserve

I definitely agree that this album is one of his most insane but realistic works ever with such a middle finger of an album. What a great album overall! Strong 8/10 for me.
