This is what it's like for a station to be under the water table. Constant seepage into the walls, creating unsightly rust and stains. Unfortunately, it's not an easy problem to solve.
The ugliest eki in Tokyo..., still probably ten times nicer than most around the world. 😛 I love the small conbini with the little old ladies in these deep, dark stations. What a job!
