ive been using the 2020c for a while now... honestly, ive been very impressed with em... i love how u can hold em like a pencil if ur cuttin somethin like a flat top where ur rockin freehand... & that blade, im not sure of the blade materials, but that blade just NEVER gets hot... very impressed, their clippers are awesome, but now id love to see jrl up their "trimmer" game... thank u sir
@@brandonb6860 ...honestly, thats the first ive ever heard of that issue... u might try some blue loctite on the offending screws, or maybe contact jbl directly, id betcha that theyd be willing to take measures to make it right...
@@Seancutshair it’s fire bro seeing the footages of the clippers while you doing the haircut make the video more interesting than just showing the haircut itself🔥 feels more professional than usual
I didn’t like them when i first got them cuz i hate any clicks in my lever but after a week i got used to them and i love them probably my favorite clipper. I love the stylecraft rebel, was my number 1, but i may have to pick this one just because how quiet it is. The Rebel is LOUD! This clipper is so quiet and looks so clean. First clipper I’ve owned that my clients actually are always complimenting and ask about.
I’ve been undecided clipper wise and keep going back and forth on stuff…looking at these vs the tpob xo clippers there’s around £60 difference between the two , the problem is is at £180 for the jrl you can then start looking at other high end clippers in the same bracket price wise🤪🤪🤪
Great review on the JRL 2020C Onyx and fade tutorial Sean. Which clippers do you recommend for the loudest/most obvious crunch sound when cutting hair? I currently use the Wahl Super Power CC Clipper (sold here in Australia) - I guess it's like a metal Senior with the Magic Clip stagger-tooth blade from factory. I find the crunch sound pretty good versus my X-Ergo, but am wondering if there are better clippers out there for this.
I like the fact that they’re most probably the best clippers out there in terms of temperature of the blade, I mean after extended use they’re still not super hot, that alone is a good feature to me to convince me to buy em
I've been using my Onyx for a few weeks now and I love them! I like the way the feel and I don't mind the shape at all. They're different and I like different. Just like you said in your review they are quiet, smooth, crispy/crunchy cutting, great battery life, and the blades don't get hot. Whether they hit 7500 rpm or made of plastic they definitely get the job done, but in a quiet precise Ninja style way. Yo JRL ya'll shouldv'e called them Ninja clippers. 🥷 ...👊😎 Great review bro, keep up the good work.
Such a great review this. One thing I'd like is if the music wasn't on, as it distracts, and interferes with the clipper audio. Really enjoyed the review. Helped me make the decision. Cheers dude
Do you recommend jrl onyx just for styling the beard at home with a fade on the sides do you recommend it? Because I'm debating between the wahl magic clip gold model... what does it mean?
@@Seancutshair so right now i am looking to buy a clipper under 200 what is the best one you would recommend I want one not too heavy and not that loud but other than that whats the best one in you're opinion right now. I'm thinking gamma boosted?
Before you gap it make sure the blade is straight🙃 it ain’t rocket science, set the blade in the middle of the clipper, then set the set the still blade
Yoooo, did you have the clippers zero gapped? I zero gapped mine and they make a clicking noise because of the guards. I’m not sure if I should open them a little or have them zero gapped.
Hi help me choose between babyliss influencer edition Clipper or jrl onyx Clipper or troll tpob Clipper, which is better and if you can tell me why please bro
Hey Sean what are your most favorite fading clippers I have the first pair of jrls in gold I love them was thinking about the gamma x ergo but tell me your top 3 clippers for fading an bulk thx
Boosted is good but these are totally different. They cut a little softer, super quiet, totally different shape. Wouldn’t say you need them if you have the boosted but they’re not very similar
@seancutshair i zero gapped my onyx and now my marty blend half guard rattle also my whal premium half guard rattle and my blur guard 😢 . Only ones i can use is babyliss premium half guard and the jrl half guard it came with.
Yo sean i started cutting my own hair with the Andis Masters corded and the andis trimmer idk if it's good enough or is there anything that can do a good fade out there better than these what you recommend
I've been looking for it everywhere and can't find it!!! Do you know the address of the store, please, or do I send you the money to send it to me / what you said
Question: why do you fade one side at a time? I've always preferred to fade all the way around the head at once. I feel like it's quicker and easier because ideally I should only have to put on each guard once. I'd love to know your thoughts on this! Another fire video bro🎉
I do one side for video purposes. I can’t record and move the camera 100 times, then ya forget to move it and lose a clip. I also see working all the way around can cause people to lose track since they’re constantly looking away from one side while they do the other. Focusing on one until it’s finished, then moving on, then detailing the cut as a whole is how I like to do it
@@Rezamajedi compared to other clippers I had they’re made cheap inside. That plastic crap they have inside where it rotates to move the blade is cheap plastic and they broke on me. I’ll stick to caliber 50 and style craft. They cut better anyway.
