I saw it moored up today, in front of the carriers HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Queen Elizabeth, quite a sight!

Is this ship imported from the US of A or licensed made in Japan?

Not even license manufactured, designed and built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, both ships converted to Training Vessels. The last US manufactured or designed vessels were the converted Fletcher Class destroyers, JDS Ariake (Formerly USS Heywood L. Edwards) and JDS Yuugure (Formerly USS Richard P. Leary) which were decommissioned in March of 1974.
