@@shadowballgaming351nobody is talking about tonal basses.. he just said the first bass as in literally the first bass in the front of The bass line. nobody mentioned tonal basses but you we obviously know they don’t have tonals
One of the best in the country. WT can play any DCI piece. Just get the sheet music and change our drums. You can't give a DCI trained percussionist these drums and get the same result.
He's right a dci percussionist can't perform the way War and Thunder do or any HBCU drumline besides MDF$ and Hampton's drumline maybe. Dci percussionists train basically their whole life mastering the military style of pure core drumming, all about precision and chop PERIOD. Drumlines like WT, T.O.P, and Cold Steel are purely about Swagger and Funk, and each drumline are what makes up the soul of their bands. For example, the shockwave and echo effect that WT make when people hear them is one of the soul reasons why Jackson State's band was named the "Sonic BOOM of The South." Same for T.O.P of the "Sounds of DYN-O-MITE", though T.O.P focus their sound to have a more explosiveness to it.
It's funny, as a kid you get your mind focused on that one instrument, that's making a sound that you love to hear. In my case. The crack of that snare drum was all I was focused on.
Those tenors and bass drums are responding to each other but we focusing on the drums cause that's where they recording at but the band is killin it too
Pepole say Southern drums sound like buckets but this ish sounds like wet paper🤣 through it all in person both bands and drumlines sounds awesome! No headset nor surround sound will sound like the real deal! Good job jstate go SU
Jean-Paul Willard thats not true jackson state's stadium is bowl like but not that much sound resonates from the stadium so they are loud and the stadium comes into play a little
Terrence Brent actually I been to their camp and its not that they tdrums have a type if material inside that makes it sound off so even the slightest hits even make it loud but them beating the hell outta of it makes it even more louder
War and Thunder is awesome but why do they have a different bass drum line each week? The first week they marched with only four, here they have five, last week they had six during a performance on campus.
They had knocked they heads outta tune this, if u play hard you'll understand how it is to knock yo head outta tune wit snare tenor bass and quints/quads
I say they are both trying to put a hole in their drums like I use to in high school, 😂😂😂 13 heads for 13 wins @ $10 a piece reckon up $130 @ the band expense. I tried to put a hole in tri- toms in college but, I got blisters😂😂😂
